Celebrating 125 years of the Wadena County Fair (on display in the Log Cabin Interpretive Center)

Horse Racing at the Fair 1943 4/15/1943 Harkening back to the happy days of county fairs with home talent the principal items on their program bill of fare, the Wadena County Fair in 1943 will feature horse racing and many other things that will again bring it back to the people of this area. A racing circuit has been signed up and horses coming from Iowa, North and South Dakota, Wisconsin, Montana and many points in Minnesota will make for an exciting time around the track. Wadena for many years was one of the hot spots for racing... From the Wadena Pioneer Journel, April 15 1943
