New Richmond school will help save language Phillip Rollo Te Reo could become a forgotten language in 20 years time if Maori immersion schools do not exist, says the newly-appointed principal of Nelson’s first. Merita Waitoa-Paki was last week appointed principal of Richmond’s Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Tuia te Matangi. She says the region is one of the lowest Te Reo speaking centres in New Zealand, but the introduction of the school will not only increase the number of Maori speakers but also ensure the language is not forgotten. “Research says that in 20 years it will be lost,” says Merita. “It’s our campaign to ensure that our mother tongue doesn’t become a language that is part of the 200odd indigenous languages that researchers say will be lost in the near future. It’s all about the culture, your identity, what makes us Florence O’Connor and her younger sister Isabella at one of the Aniseed Valley’s best swimming unique being Maori in Aotearoa.” holes after the road was reopened last week. It will apply for National Certificate of Educational Achievement accreditation and currently there are 31 students enrolled, however the majority will be in the junior syndicate. Merita visited the school grounds for the first time on Saturday, on a weekend visit to Nelson. Residing in Christchurch, Merita says the opportunity to travel north is also helped by the continued earthquakes. She has worked in similar schools prior to her new role, and has been involved as a deputy principal for six years and as acting principal before. “It was a chance for me to try something new, challenge myself and my own career, it’s another step up and it’s exciting.” Merita says it is an “exciting journey” because of the region’s lack of Te Reo speakers. However, she acknowledges it will be a long process ensuring Te Reo grows in the Nelson/Tasman area. The language cannot just stop once the school bell rings. They want to create a community

of Maori speakers. Students need to be able to speak Maori outside of the classroom.” It’s something that won’t just happen over night. Because a lot of the whanau, they only have one language. But it’s creating a community, inviting and bringing in a new language.” The short term focus will be building the word bank of the students that are new to Te Reo. English will be taught in time, but the immediate future will focus on creating a real Maori environment. Merita has worked in Maori immersion schools with a roll of 140 students. But she says the smaller the capacity, the easier it
is to ensure all of the students are learning at a successful rate. The higher the school roll gets, the more Maori language teachers that need to be brought in. She hopes that by 2017 the school will not have more than 100 students. “We don’t want to get too big, too soon.” While she has been appointed principal, Merita says it is the whanau that “govern” the school. “They drive the school. Mainstream schools have board of trustees and with this kind of school, the mana, the status really goes to the whanau. It’s all about empowering our people.” Te Kura Kaupapa Maori schools have been in New Zealand for nearly 30 years. Merita will officially begin work at the school in term two.

Truck driver calls it a day after 42 years Phillip Rollo Ray Waterhouse has put the brakes on his truck driving career after 42 years on the road with TNL. When a truck hits 1,000,000 kilometres it is often retired and now that Ray has clocked up a similar number and is spending three nights a week away from home, the 65 year-old Brightwater resident has retired to spend more time with his family. “I go from anywhere between Auckland and Invercargill and I was getting bloody sick of being away all of the time,” he says. Ray was originally from Rai Valley and started working for the TNL agency there. The self confessed country boy knew when he first began that it was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. “I hate working in cities, and in this job, while I’m based in a town, I’m out in the country most of the time and that was my country fix if you want to put it that way.”
He worked for TNL Rai Valley twice during a six year period and has been with TNL Nelson since 1975. While a country boy at heart, the horse power Ray prefers isn’t out in the paddock, and it was his love of machinery and travelling that drew him to the job all those years ago. His first jobs for TNL included carrying a lot of stock, shifting machinery and superphosphate for the farms. But behind the wheel on the open road, with the radio volume so he can only just hear it is when Ray is in his element. “I still like being out in the country without much traffic around and just being one in the wilderness, being on my own in open spaces and just going.” When he shifted to Nelson he switched to moving freight and now travels anywhere in New Zealand. “You can be away for two weeks at a time and in that time you could do 4000 kilometres. But New Zealand is only a small country; you can’t go too far can you?” Ray says it is impossible to tell how far he has travelled throughout his career, but estimates it to be 1,000,000 kilometres. He says there was not much routine to the job but enjoyed carting 18 metre steel on a “trombone deck” from Nelson to Christchurch. “It was the closest I got to a routine. But that was the job I enjoyed the most.” The camaraderie Ray has had at TNL has been great, he says. There Ray Waterhouse is retiring after 42 years as a truck driver are around six others who have for TNL. Photo: Phillip Rollo. been there for 40-odd years. The worst part of the job is the ferry Ray will continue to work part-time during the busy spell trip over the Cook Straight, but that before retirement starts. Ride for Hope returns
Richmond Mall manager David Hill preparing for the Ride for Hope fundraiser next month.
The Richmond Mall Foundation Ride for Hope fundraiser is just weeks away. The ride, from Nelson to Motueka and back to Hope, will be raising funds for the Richmond Mall Foundation and is held on February 11. These funds then go back into the community, supporting local charities and people who are at risk, says Richmond Mall manager David Hill. The Richmond Rodeo and the Ride for Hope are the two big fundraisers for the foundation this year. Entry is just $10 for either rider or passengers and includes a badge, spit roast, soft
drink and entry into the prize draw featuring a whopping 20-30 prizes. Prizes include two one-year motorcycle registrations, radio controlled helicopters, All Blacks and Rugby World Cup gear, hundreds of dollars worth of Richmond Mall vouchers and much more. “It’s not only a fun day out but there’s an enormous amount of prizes donated to give away as well,” says David. Riders can register on Saturday February 11. They are to meet at the Trafalgar Centre at 9am before a briefing and take off. The conclusion is held at the Hope Domain. Last year was the first ever Ride for Hope and featured more than 250 riders.
NEWS IN BRIEF YESTERYEAR SHOW: Tractors of new and old will be on show at the Higgins Park Steam Museum this weekend for the Yesteryear Show. The show is held this Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 4pm. Bring the family, enjoy a picnic in the lovely setting of Pigeon Valley’s historic museum. Adults are $5 while children under 13 years-old are free. LAKE FESTIVAL A HUGE HIT: 1500 people visited the Nelson Lakes Festival on the weekend. The power-free festival was in its first ever year and despite some weekend rain was well recieved. Organiser Jennifer Sloots says the feedback from stall holders was great. Activities on offer included a Mad Hatter tea party, outdoor movies and a four-wheeled drive up the mountains as well as local food, drink and other fun things made without power.

Skate tour a flipping success Another action-packed Tasman Skatepark Tour came to an end on Saturday with hundreds of people taking to the Richmond Skatepark for one final hitout. Tasman District Council community recreation officer Paul McConachie says it was another fantastic year with bigger numbers than ever before. A lot of that was put down to the popular inclusion of scooters, which seem to have taken off in recent months, he added. The Tasman Skatepark Tour travels
through all the corners of the Tasman region and touches base in Mapua, Motueka, Takaka, Tapawera, Brightwater and Richmond. Paul says it is great to see some of the top performers travel through to all of the events, while it was equally encouraging watching residents of the smaller towns come out and compete at a higher level against some of the best riders and boarders Nelson has to offer. Nelson’s Trent Luff was the overall winner in the skateboard competition, only

needing one point to claim victory, but instead he claimed all five with a epic showing on his deck. Leo Calcasola, also of Nelson, won both the overall scooter and BMX. His ability to back flip on his scooter made him a crowd favourite on the day as he eased to wins in both disciplines. The winners took home a skateboard, BMX bike or scooter, depending on which they entered in. The Tasman Skatepark Tour is an annual event.

Gala gets going again at gardens
Nicholas Whitley, 4, Ethan Thompson, 1, Nicoya McBride 3, Alyssa Gardiner, 3 and Austin Stranger, 4, can’t wait for the Washbourn Gardens Fair. Photo: Phillip Rollo.
The annual Washbourn Gardens Fair, held on Nelson Anniversary, is set to be another fantastic day out for the family. The gala, which has been run by the Richmond Playcentre for the past three years, will be held on Monday January 30 in the picturesque backdrop of Richmond’s Washbourn Gardens. Staff of the playcentre says it is always a popular event in Richmond because of its unique spot, which draws plenty of people outside. On offer at the gala will be local arts and crafts, local produce, plenty of food and Devonshire tea made by the Church on
the Hill. There could also be a chance to feed the ducks when you are done. The playcentre is not government funded, so staff rely heavily on fundraising to pay for the everyday goings on. The last fundraising exercise has resulted in a brand new playground, which is soon to be opened. They are encouraging families from all over the region to visit the gala on their day off as it’s sure to be a fun day in the sun. The gala starts at 9am and runs until 2:30pm.

Police donate $500 to trust
Sergeant Craig Barker and Margaret Palmer of the National Bank hand over a cheque for $500 to Victoria Hawke of the Life Education Trust.
A police golf tournament has had an unexpected windfall for the Life Education Trust. The Mondo Travel South Island Police Golf Tournament was held at Greenacres Golf Course last November. More than 100 officers from around the island participated says organiser Sergeant Craig Barker, of Richmond. During the tournament the Life Education Trust ran a closest to the hold competition and raised several hundred dollars from it. But the news got even better for the trust after the tournament. Craig says once organisers covered costs they had some money left over so donated $500 of it to the trust. “We had great support for the tournament locally, local businesses really got behind us and the tournament. It’s great that we can then pay that support forward and donate the money to a worthy trust.” The last time the tournament was held in the Nelson area was 1999 says Craig. Waimea Weekly was one of the local businesses that supported the tournament.

Tasman Art Group member Jean Jackson at Washbourn Gardens on Saturday for the Tasman Visual Arts Group Annual Summer Art Expo.
Expo brings art to Washbourn Washbourn Gardens was a fine setting as 22 local artists exhibited their work on Saturday for the Tasman Visual Arts Group Annual Summer Art Expo. The influence of the group is so great you probably have one of their art pieces installed in your kitchen. In fact it is probably installed in the second or third draw down from the top as Jean Jackson, a group member, has her painting ‘Busy Bees’ on the cover of the 2010/2011 White Pages. Jean was one of the artists on display as Saturday’s fine weather saw good numbers through the gardens and one artist alone selling up to five pieces. The event was supposed to run for two days, unfortunately the weather intervened and cut short
Sunday’s viewing. “It was a little disappointing, we were hoping to get quite a few people through on Sunday,” says Lois Morgan. “The oil paints and acrylics might have been fine, however watercolours and rain don’t mix well.” A washout still won’t slow down this group too much. They have a number of regular Art Group activities pending including, their monthly meetings, guest speakers, workshops and weekly outdoor painting trips. Lois says the group are looking to grow their membership and they would encourage anyone who is a practicing artist to get in touch. If you are interested you can contact Karin Clyne, the group secretary, on 5472575.

4 Gladstone Road, Richmond (Opposite Mobil) Experienced & Qualified - Service While You Wait Parts Guaranteed - FREE QUOTES Quality & Care – Because We Are Car Enthusiasts! Come Along To 4 Gladstone Road To Get Your “Weekly Fix”. Richmond Exhaust & Radiator Specialists may have moved, but it’s still the “best place to take a leak”. Barry Evans has relocated his well respected family business from Beach Rd to 4 Gladstone Rd in Richmond, just opposite the Mobil Gas Station. Barry has been working with cars for over 40 years and has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience. His exclusive team consists of Bradley, his son, who is a radiator specialist, as well as daughter Sharlane who takes care of the office management. That’s the highest priority for Barry and his team; quality workmanship and a passion for vehicles. The main thing that the family team have in common is their love for cars. “We’ve all been petrol heads right from the beginning,” says Sharlane. Barry even owns a track race car which Barry competes in seven times a year, with favourable results. With such a good track record it’s not surprising that well known Nelsonians within the Motorsport Fraternity use Richmond Exhaust & Radiator Specialists for parts and servicing their vehicles. Barry takes pride in customer service and providing a reputable place for vehicle owners to return to time and time again. He says that over his time as a mechanic in Richmond he has been servicing three generations of locals, with customers bringing their children, who have in turn brought theirs. The family and community aspect is apparent from the moment you enter the workshop and hear their banter, or are welcomed by Sharlane’s two year old dog Freyja who has become a self-proclaimed mascot for the business.
Barry Evans (right), with his children Sharlane and Bradley Evans, and mechanic Haydn Andreassand are the experienced team.

Richmond Exhaust & Radiator Specialists may have a new location, but they have brought their old staff, passion and experience with them. Whether Haydn Andreassand and the you need your road car serviced or are skilled team of mechanics will looking to improve the performance of get your vehicle running better your street car, stock or race car, as well than ever. as heavy machinery, they’re the team for the job. Barry Evans, who began the venture almost two decades ago, has had over 40 years experience as a mechanic. He says the reason for branching specifically towards exhaust and radiator servicing is because “it’s the stuff other people don’t want to do. It’s a very specialist trade, a muffler’s not just a thing you stuck under your car, it’s a very integral part of the car. You can damage a car by putting bad parts into it, and lack of cooling system maintenance is also the cause of most overheating and cooling problems.” As the only radiator and exhaust specialists in the region, Barry has “spent forty-six years in the motor trade, and the last twenty realising how little he actually knew about exhaust systems and radiators.” The specialised skill and knowledge he has gained makes him the best person in the region to see. Joining Barry is Bradley Evans, his son, who spent 3 years in Christchurch training as a Radiator Specialist before joining the family business 16 years ago. Sharlane took over the office and management 8 years ago. Due to expansion since the relocation, Richmond Radiator & Exhaust Specialists are taking on another pair of hands at the end of the month. The mechanic had been with Barry previously working with him for four years, before travelling to other parts of the South Island to increase his knowledge. Barry is excited to be working with his former colleague again; “We taught him a whole lot at the start, but he was an easy pupil. He’s an old face but he’s coming back; been away and learned a whole lot, coming back wiser.” If you fancy yourself a fair hand at servicing your own vehicle, you can source parts through Richmond Exhaust & Radiator

Q: Christmas is just over, and now I have school costs and fees coming up. If education is meant to be free, do I have to pay school fees? A: Every school has it’s own policy on payment of school donations and fees. We understand that you do not have to pay donations but fees are compulsory, as schools need this income. If you are finding the fees hard to pay, we suggest that you: Talk to your child’s school about your situation. (This information will be treated confidentially) Offer to set up small automatic weekly payments over the year Ask if there is extra funding available for your child, through the school, for fees and extra curricular costs If your child is studying towards an NZQA qualification, such as NCEA, they are eligible for discounted fees if you have a community service card. With this discount the fees drop from $76.70 to $20.00 per subject. If you have more than one child paying these fees, they only pay $15 per subject. There is some independent funding available at certain times of the year for school uniforms, stationary and extra tuition. If you want help to organise your money matters, set up automatic payments, and find out more about extra funding, call us.

Commission to announce amalgamation decision
A decision on whether ratepayers in Tasman and Nelson will need to vote for amalgamation of its councils is scheduled to be made a week from today. The Local Government Commission last June announced its draft decision, saying a merger of Nelson City and Tasman District councils would be best for the two regions. After seven months of further review, consultation, and analysis, the commission will next week announce its final decision. If it reverses its opinion from last year the issue will be dead and buried. If it upholds its original decision, the contentious issue will go to the polls. A majority vote in both regions will be needed before the two councils can amalgamate. Tasman mayor Richard Kempthorne is opposed to an amalgamation, putting him at direct odds with counterpart, Nelson mayor Aldo Miccio. Richard says he is hopeful of a decision saying amalgamation should be taken off the table because it would save ratepayers money in a referendum that would likely say no anyway. “Walking around talking to people in Tasman, I don’t think they would like to see amalgamation come in and I’d be surprised if a majority of Tasman residents voted for it,” he says. If, as expected, the LGC sends the issue to a vote, the polls will likely open on March 31, closing on April 21.

BB’S SERVICES have one aim – to make your life
easier! Local owner/operators, Brenda and Wim, are only too happy to take on the jobs you don’t have time for. Brenda originally started BB’s as a cleaning business and when things really took off Wim joined her so they could keep up with demand. Because Wim’s expertise is in carpet installation, they have been able to expand their services to include carpet laying, carpet stretching, repairs and alterations. This is ideal if you only have a small area like a sleepout or just a couple of rooms. All you have to do is supply the carpet – they’ll do the rest. They can also do any light gardening and lawn mowing, but the area they have built a staunch reputation for is their cleaning. They take care of your regular weekly housework jobs, office cleans, or one off spring cleaning jobs that you just can’t face yourself. These one-off jobs are ideal for people preparing their house for sale, or property owners who want a tidy up done between tenants. BB’s Services cover the top of the south and are happy to travel as far as Murchison and Golden Bay.
Brenda and Wim from BB’s Services make your life easier by taking care of ALL of your cleaning and property services from lawn mowing to spring cleaning and carpet laying.

What type of ground will you be working on, and will you need to drive the machine while at height? Do you need to manoeuvre the machine into a tight space? These are just some of the considerations Mal will go through to ensure you can get as high as you need to be!

To remind drivers about the need to be extra careful around schools there will be a herd of zebras visiting school pedestrian crossings. These zebras made their debut last year and will again be out and about in force this February. So watch out for kids, and watch out for zebras!

Parents – when dropping off or collecting
your child from the school bus, try to do it so that you are on the same side as the bus. This will cut out the need for your child to cross the road. Park your car well away from the bus stop or other children so you don’t block drivers, children’s or the bus driver’s visibility. Get out of your car and meet your child or walk with them to the designated bus stop.

area and stand well back from the road edge. Bus stops have usually been chosen as a safer place to stop. After you have got off the bus wait as far away from the road edge as possible, until the bus has moved away. If you need to cross the road, wait until the bus has driven off and you can see clearly up and down the road.
Thank you.

However, the faster your vehicle is travelling, the more likely it is that a child will be killed if they are hit. 75% of fatalities around New Zealand from school bus incidents occur on roads with a 100km/h speed limit. If cars were to keep to the 20 km/h speed limit there would be fewer incidents, fewer injuries and fewer deaths.

Business update
Phillip Rollo At 28 years-old Matt Campbell doesn’t feel like a youngster, but he could be the youngest senior football coach Richmond Athletic has ever had, says president Stu Reid. Matt will take the coaching role in a new-look Richmond Athletic side that is now solely focussed on youth development, something that was ignored in favour of competing for Mainland Premier League status last year. But with financial restraints keeping the Nelson Pine Industries First Division champions in the same competition for 2012, the attitude amongst the club has come full circle with notable departures to four of the team’s imports as well as head coach Steve Bignall and manager Rick Gower. Matt has been coach of the Richmond second division side and has his New Zealand Football Level 2 senior coaching badge. He has been involved with the club for 22 years and is “Richmond through and through”, he says. While a host of last year’s players have departed the club, Matt says they have already snapped up player of the year Darryl Fenemor, Glen Pearless and Michael Campbell for the coming season. The trio will be joined by a flock of Waimea College players, along with other secondary school students, says Matt. Top striker Wesley Olea was one player he hoped would re-sign with the club, despite probable offers from former captain Joe Green at Nelson Suburbs and former coach Steve Bignall at FC Nelson, says Matt. Strengthening the ties with Waimea College will be a key point in retaining promising players. “Last year was great, lets face it. But the young boys in this club are going to get a shot this year there’s no doubt about it. There’s a group of about eight or nine 16, 17 year-olds, who are all mainly Waimea College based, there

are a few from Nayland College, that will make up the bulk of our first division squad.” Matt admits the club did chase players to build a strong enough squad to gain promotion into the Mainland Premier League, however, they are now after players who want to play for Richmond. He says he will have plenty to prove at his young age, easily the youngest first division coach in Nelson. Richmond Athletic invites any player interested in senior football to join their pre-season training starting 6.30pm on Tuesday February 7 at The Avery Park. For further information please contact Stu Reid on president@richmondathletic.co.nz or on 0274714619.

Tom Filmer is eager to challenge for the Under-19 cross country title at the 2012 RaboDirect Mountain Bike National Championship in Nelson this weekend. Photo: Phillip Rollo.
Filmer ready to cross paths with NZ champ Phillip Rollo Tom Filmer has a mountain to climb at the RaboDirect Mountain Bike National Championship this weekend – he is up against the country’s top export Anton Cooper. Tom, a talented cross country cyclist, hopes a podium finish in his hometown will put him in the shop window for national selectors, and will be doing everything he can to push Anton for the title, although he doesn’t seem optimistic that anyone has a chance against the rider ranked number one in the world for his age group. “I don’t think he can push himself against us because we’ll most certainly be behind him,” says Tom. “If nothing happens to him, he’s guaranteed first place. He’s been New Zealand’s fast mountain biker since last year at the age of 16. But it’s sort of a benchmark to see where we are at. It’s really good to have Anton in New Zealand because we can see how he does things.”
This is the final year Tom will be entered in the Under-19 category, following a fourth place in Dunedin last year, so he is out to prove a point. Tom is keeping quiet on his own goals, but says it will be a privilege to ride against Anton and any spot on the podium would equal success. Tom’s main focus this year has been on the New Zealand Cup. There are four events held throughout the country in the lead up to the Oceania Championship in Rotorua on March 11. Tom believes a top three at both the national championship and the Oceania Championship would all but guarantee him a spot in an overseas based mountain biking camp. “I’d be happy with a podium finish, but I want second place.” The cross country will be held at Codgers Mountain Bike Park in Nelson. There is one race that lasts around 90 minutes, with all male cross country competitors in. Once they finish, they are separated into their age divisions.

Canterbury United won the game 9-1. CRICKET: Waimea Toi Toi United are holding a quiz night at Robbies Bar & Bistro tonight at 8pm. Come and support the club with a team of four to six members. RUGBY: Just days after he was named in the training squad for the New Zealand Sevens team, James Lowe was cautioned by the New Zealand Rugby Union that his focus should be on the New Zealand Under-20 team ahead of the IRB Junior World Championship in South Africa. James pulled out of the training squad, ending his hopes of earning a contract for the 2012 IRB Sevens Circuit. Five players were deemed unavailable, resulting in another five replacements, one being Tasman Mako Shane Christie. James is one of three local players involved with the New Zealand Under-20 training squad, along with Mike Wells and Reuben Northover, although the final squad has yet to be decided. James hopes the NZRU’s decision has increased his chances of making the agegrade side, which will be selected following further training camps.

Tasman Resource Management Plan
The Draft Joint Waste Management and Minimisation Plan is now available for public consultation. Everyone is welcome to make a submission. Purpose The Nelson City Council and the Tasman District Council (the Councils) have a statutory responsibility to “promote effective and efficient waste minimisation” and, for this purpose, to “adopt a waste management and minimisation plan”. As required by the Waste Minimisation Act 2008 (WMA), the Councils carried out a waste assessment. The Councils each made a decision that a Joint Waste Management Plan be developed. View the Proposals The proposals are contained in two documents: • A summary of Information - published on this website and circulated to all households in the Tasman District via Newsline and in Nelson City via Live Nelson. • The full document, which outlines in greater detail the draft plan the Councils have developed. Draft Plan Changes – Water Metering – Managing Fire Risk for New Rural Dwellings Tasman District Council has prepared draft Plan changes to the Tasman Resource Management Plan for water metering and for managing fire risk for new rural dwellings.
Summary Water Metering The Council is proposing to amend the Tasman Resource Management Plan water metering requirements to ensure they are consistent with the national regulations. The draft Plan change is intended to ensure that Council meets its obligations to continue to require water meters for nearly all water takes, including those less than 5 litres per second. The Council will continue to manage manual water meter returns, but is developing electronic reporting and recording systems to allow both Council and water users to take advantage of improvements in technology. The Council is also intending to amend the rules for taking water from storage. Water takes from dams will generally be permitted, however the effects of the damming at all times of the year will be managed through the consent to dam water. Managing Fire Risk for New Rural Dwellings The current Tasman Resource Management Plan (TRMP) provisions for managing the risk of fire in rural dwellings are inadequate and inconsistent with best practice requirements specified by the NZ Fire Service. Current camlock coupling requirements do not meet the requirements of the NZ Fire Service for fire appliances used to fight rural structure fires. A number of options for managing fire risk have been considered by the Council. These allow new home owners some discretion to choose the most appropriate fire risk management system for new dwellings where there is no appropriate water reticulation service provided.
Availability of the Draft Plan Changes The draft Plan changes are available for public inspection at Council’s Richmond office, and Motueka, Takaka and Murchison service centres. They are also available on the Council website (www.tasman.govt.nz) under ‘Policy/Plans/Tasman Resource Management Plan (TRMP)/Draft Planning Proposals’. Comments on the draft Plan changes can be sent to the Manager Policy, Tasman District Council, Private Bag 4, Richmond 7050 to be received by 4.30 pm on Tuesday 31 January 2012. An online response form can be completed via the Public Consultation webpage under ‘Policy’.
Consideration of the Draft Plan Change Comments are invited on both draft Plan changes until 31 January 2012. Council will then consider all comments received and prepare and release a Proposed Plan Change to the Tasman Resource Management Plan in light of the public’s contribution.
