Firewood ready for delivery Susan Johnson It was a generous gift of 100 standing trees to Rex Kelly that started a campaign to raise money for the Steam Museum at Higgins Park in Pigeon Valley. A great deal of hard work later and the yard has a mountain of dry firewood, ready for sale. “We started October last year,” says Rex. “Trevor Sigglekow, Doug Donaldson and John Hurley who organises us all. It’s gum and blackwood which is good quality and burns hot making it economical.” The money is going towards rebuilding and maintaining the collection of steam engines at Higgins Park. Delivery for the wood can be organised with prior arrangement. Delivery will be to your kerb-side and will be a four metre load, nothing smaller. For more details phone Rex on 027 4434 105 or John on 03 541 8998.
