mikimoto
Lustrous, smooth and glowing from within, few things on earth reflect the balance of a person’s inner and outer beauty the way pearls do—and no one in the world does pearls like Mikimoto. Ever since Kokichi Mikimoto created the world’s first cultured pearls in 1893, his company has mastered the art of making these treasures of the sea shine even brighter. This season’s Classic collection lives up to its name, and then becomes timeless by adding eyecatching sapphires to the glowing, perfect pearls. Both are cradled next to sparkling diamonds, and all are set in cool-toned white gold for a calm, sophisticated effect. Or you can try something bolder with the V Code collection, which accents the striking straight lines of the deep, golden V shape, a perfect symbol of strength, with softly shining pearls and head-turning diamonds, warm and filled with joy. All are perfect for adorning the most beautiful people in your life—and, of course, yourself.

Just like any true piece of art, jewelry from Roberto Coin takes you on a journey through culture, history and nature. All three blend seamlessly and joyfully together in the brand’s collections this season, and the results are truly transportive. The Jasmine collection is as floral as the name implies, and the play between geometric lines and fluid curves makes these pieces glow all the brighter in 18K gold. For more power, look to the Obelisco collection, which combines the striking image of an obelisk with the perfect touch of colorful gems for an elegant, confident look. And, of course, you can never go wrong with a classic: The Venetian Princess Pirouette collection takes Roberto Coin’s most iconic flower motif and adds an extra touch of color and sparkle, bringing magic to your fingertips each time it’s worn.

Museum set
atop a rolling landscape in Farmington, Connecticut is a sanctuary of scenic grandeur and captivating history.
There’s no better time to embrace the allure of natural diamonds than the springtime. At Lux Bond & Green, we believe every season has its sparkle, but Spring, with its sense of renewal and romance, is the perfect backdrop for showcasing the beauty of our fine jewelry.
This season, we found inspiration at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, Connecticut—a place where art, history, and nature converge. Designed in 1901 by Theodate Pope Riddle, one of the first licensed female architects in the United States, Hill-Stead was originally built as a family home before becoming a museum upon her passing in 1946. Unlike traditional art institutions, Hill-Stead offers an intimate and immersive experience, seamlessly blending its historic interiors with an extrodinary collections of Impressionist and decorative art. Set on 152 acres of picturesque

New England landscapes in the heart of Connecticut, the estate reflects a legacy of vision, creativity, and craftsmanship—values that resonate deeply with Lux Bond & Green.
With soft natural light illuminating our diamond collections and the estate’s natural beauty as our backdrop, our latest model shoot captured the essence of Spring. Classic diamond line necklaces and vibrant sapphires and radiant yellow diamonds symbolized fresh beginnings and add a classic touch to any outing.

LAVALIER: PASPALEY ICON

Paspaley is a family-owned business spanning three generations and celebrating a 90-year pearling heritage. Their jewelry designs are inspired by the rich narrative of the Paspaley South Sea Pearl - its natural habitat, pearling culture, and the operational intricacies that sustain it. Their pieces offer versatility, wearability, and innovation, celebrating their Australian pearling heritage and a dedication to showcasing Paspaley Pearls in designs worthy of their natural beauty.
The Paspaley Lavalier collection has long centred around the Lavalier pendant, modelled on the antique glass buoys, encased in a rope net, that were once used to mark pearl oyster beds. At the heart of each creation lies a Paspaley Pearl delicately cradled in fine gold mesh net. This innovative design allows the pearl to remain untouched by drills, preserving its natural beauty as if it just emerged from an oyster.
The new Tassel Anchored Lavalier Pearl Necklace now enters this collection, adding the pendants to jewelencrusted chains inspired by the nautical chains found on Paspaley’s pearling vessels. Details of the Tassel Anchored Lavalier are tied to elements of the Paspaley story, with tassels that are reminiscent of the frayed ropes from historic wooden pearling ships, often found on beaches in remote regions of northwestern Australia, and gradations in color that reflect the weathering and patina that happens to ropes and chains when exposed to the elements, underwater or under the sun.
Lavalier necklaces and earrings are designed to hold Paspaley’s most significant and special pearls, held in their natural state in jewel-covered nets. Pearls of this calibre and lustre have been collected and treasured by the Paspaley family over many years and are a testament to the history and status of Paspaley as Master Pearlers.

Called the “busiest man in Hollywood,” Ryan Seacrest keeps on time and on style with watches in perfect taste.
watch collector
time for everything
How does Ryan Seacrest, “the busiest man in Hollywood,” keep up with all of his obligations? The world’s finest timepieces certainly help.
A full list of projects with 50-year-old Ryan Seacrest’s name on them would fill this page, and then some. Host. Creator. Executive producer. If you’ve caught any reality show on TV since 2005, you’ve seen his name. If you watched a live event, a New Year’s broadcast or a TV talent show in the last 20 years, you’ve probably seen his face. Listen to pop radio? His voice is a familiar friend.
Originally from Atlanta, Seacrest hosted his first radio show in his hometown at 16 during an internship. From there, his stock only went up. In his early 20s, he hosted LA radio programs, game shows and reality television. In 2002, he landed the gig as host of American Idol, the mega-smash phenomenon—and Seacrest’s face was at the forefront of it all. Besides continuing to host American Idol and the yearly New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, he’s collected executive-producer credits like they’re candy (including Keeping Up with the Kardashians), hosted daytime talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan and recently taken over as the host of Wheel of Fortune He’s not the first to be called the “busiest man in Hollywood,” but he may be the first for whom that title isn’t hyperbole.
How does one keep up with a schedule that high profile and jam-packed? With only the finest of timepieces, of course.
It’s no surprise that Seacrest seems to favor the Rolex Daytona models, forever celebrated for being precise and reliable. He’s appeared on several red carpets
WATCHES TO WATCH
Boldly golden with high-contrast black, this Rolex Daytona 6263 is what Ryan Seacrest rocked at the 2019 Golden Globes, perfectly complementing a dark purple velvet suit. It takes a recognizable face and a high dose of charisma to pull off that combo without looking too flashy, and Seacrest did it with ease.
A coveted vintage piece, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Big Red” 6263 gets its nickname from the distinctive red “Daytona” lettering. This beautifully balanced sports watch was in production from 1971 until 1987, and Seacrest often sports one with a black acrylic bezel, white face and dreamy, luminescent silver hour and minute hands. And it seems to be one of his favorites—Seacrest has worn it to multiple awards shows over the years.
With a bold “Pepsi” red-and-blue split bezel, the Rolex GMT Master II is eye-catching, high impact, modern and comfortable (its Jubilee bracelet is soft and endlessly wearable). Seacrest wears it on the set of morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan for the perfect intersection of classy and classical.

and photo shoots with the Cosmograph Daytona “Big Red” 6263, a truly classy vintage piece with a white face, silver stick hour markers, a black acrylic bezel and a red Daytona. It’s also perfect for Seacrest, as the 37-millimeter case makes it the ideal size to transition between casual wear and a more formal look. This is a watch that can carry someone from a producer’s room to the red carpet—and that’s a transition Seacrest has made more than once.
He showed off another vintage 6263 Daytona at the 2019 Golden Globes, this one boldly golden with a high-contrast black dial. Seacrest turned heads on that particular red carpet decked out in a deep purple velvet suit, and that gold popped exquisitely against it.
Even bolder? On the set of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Seacrest sported a Rolex GMT Master II. Coveted and eye-catching, the watch boasts a Cerachrom bezel insert in split red and blue ceramic, leading people to affectionately (and enviously) nickname it “the Pepsi bezel.” The GMT is also celebrated for its legibility and ease (the Jubilee bracelet is supple and super comfortable), so it’s perfect for a man on the go—and if there’s one thing Seacrest embodies, it’s going.
No wonder then that Seacrest’s hands seem to drift toward Rolex again and again. He has an eye for the classics and an instinct for innovation that has led to a television empire—and a collection of timepieces that reflect the same ethos.

SET SAIL FOR SERENITY

For your next nautical adventure, why not let Mother Nature guide you aboard a tranquil, sustainable sailing yacht?

It was the 19th-century American essayist and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson who supposedly said that the journey was as important as the destination. He could have been describing life on a sailboat. Sailing yachts have been linked to the romance of yachting since the voyages of Europeans in the 1600s. There’s a refined art to captaining one of these boats, from navigating winds and tides to maneuvering on board when the vessel is heeling. That’s just one of the reasons why many enthusiasts today are opting for wind-powered yachts over their motorized counterparts. Other thoughts to consider:
• Sound of silence. Most modern sailing yachts are equipped with an auxiliary motor to aid navigation around tight corridors and spaces, such as harbors and marinas, or when there’s an absence of wind. But make no mistake; harnessing the wind is their primary means of propulsion. Life under the sail has a tranquil soundtrack: Without the buzz of an engine, you and your crew are left listening to sails flapping in the breeze, waves slapping against the yacht’s hull and the bow’s almost silent progress through the water.
• Luxury living. Some of the world’s most highly regarded sailing yachts compete in regattas like the America’s Cup and are built specifically for performance.

Those typically have narrow hulls and sacrifice space and comfort to boost efficiency and maneuverability. Today’s luxury sailing yachts, however, combine tradition and innovation, offering the same accommodations and amenities found aboard engine-powered super yachts—and sometimes more. Picture a 175-foot yacht with five cabins, indoor and outdoor dining areas and bars, expansive deck space with sun pads, a hot tub, jet-skis, water skis and more.
• Sustainable at sea. The yachting industry has embraced sustainability. Sunreef Yachts, for instance, regularly installs solar panels on its crafts to power electric engines, while Newcastle Marine manufactures many of its yachts using reclaimed oak for its decks. Builders are relying more on materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum, both lightweight when compared with steel. A lighter vessel, of course, means that less fuel is burned for movement when fuel is used at all. Sailing yachts already naturally align with sustainable practices and have a lower carbon footprint, as they primarily use wind for motion. Also, their auxiliary motors, if they’re modern, are often electrified, a greener alternative to the diesel-powered engines of the past.

the art of the dinner party
Thoughtful décor—chinoiserie, for example—along with enticing recipes can make a get-together elegant even if it looks effortless.
Spontaneity works great when a few friends “swing by” for a meal, but you’ve got to plan it carefully. That’s a variation of the old joke about faking sincerity, but there’s a useful truth in there. You want your guests to feel free and relaxed over dinner, but in your secret heart you’d also like the meal to be memorable. Thoughtful preparation can help. Like a carefully wrought poem or a concerto, a get-together for dinner can be a work of art in which the whole seems more than the sum of its parts.
That’s the approach New York City-based entertaining guru Stephanie Nass employs for each of her events. She’s inspired by the German term gesamtkunstwerk, which loosely translates as “total artwork.” The dinner party, Nass writes in her newest book, Swing By! Entertaining Recipes & The New Art of Gathering (Rizzoli New York, 2024),
“encompasses many art forms at one time: cooking, mixology, fashion, music, calligraphy, sculpture and interior design, among others.”
Creating a masterpiece can start with something already in the home: a color or object in the room, for instance. For a gathering with local entrepreneurs in Richmond, Virginia, Nass used a dining room’s blue-and-white wallpaper as the jumpingoff point, pairing it with the quintessential elegance of chinoiserie décor. The classic blue-and-white theme, which celebrates Chinese motifs using a Western format, is not only stunning, it’s also appropriate for all seasons and occasions.
Hosting a formal feast or an informal garden tea party this season? On the pages that follow are examples from Nass, including recipes, that can help any dinner party become an event of memorable elegance.
Instead of a tablecloth, entertaining expert Stephanie Nass uses Chefanie white lotus placemats for each setting. They’re small enough to allow the rich, dark hue of the dining-room table to shine.

LYCHEE MARTINI
Lychees are always delicious but especially after stewing in a martini. Plan ahead by sourcing your lychee juice and canned lychees online or at a specialty grocery store.
Makes 16 drinks
I N G R E D I E N T S
n 3 cups vodka
n 3 cups lychee juice
n 32 canned lychees, for garnish
n 16 toothpicks
n ice
n dry vermouth
D I R E C T I O N S
Before guests arrive, combine the vodka and lychee juice in a pitcher. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Prepare the lychee garnish ahead by spearing two lychees on each toothpick.
When ready to serve, fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add 3 ounces of the vodka-lychee mixture and a splash of vermouth.
Shake, then strain into a martini glass. Place a lychee garnish in the glass.

ROASTED CORNISH HENS WITH POTATO NEST
Cornish hens are similar to chicken and have naturally individual sizes. Author Stephanie Nass says she cooks these for special occasions.
Serves 8
I N G R E D I E N T S
n 8 russet potatoes, peeled n 8 large eggs n 3 Tbs. kosher salt
n 4 tsp. black pepper, freshly ground
n 8 (1¼-lbs.) Cornish hens
n handful chives, minced
D I R E C T I O N S
Arrange the oven racks to allow space for the hens and potatoes to roast at the same time. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Grate the potatoes into skinny matchsticks using a mandolin or a food processor with the shredding disc. Place the grated potatoes in a kitchen towel and squeeze out the water.
Transfer to a large bowl and add the eggs, 1 ½ tablespoons of the salt and 2 teaspoons of the pepper. Mix with a spoon to thoroughly combine.
On two of the prepared baking sheets, create 8 disks of the shredded potatoes that are about 7 inches in diameter (make 4 disks
on each sheet). Set aside while you prepare the Cornish hens.
Use paper towels to pat the Cornish hens dry. Sprinkle the exteriors and cavities with the remaining 1½ tablespoons salt and 2 teaspoons pepper. Use kitchen twine to tie the legs; this will ensure even cooking. Place them on the remaining baking sheet.
Roast the hens and potatoes until the latter are golden brown. The hens are done when the skin is golden, the juices run clear and an instant-read thermometer registers 160°F. Both should take 50 to 60 minutes.
Place a potato “nest” in the center of each plate; place a bird on top; and sprinkle with some of the chives. Plate the remaining servings.

Nass says the elegant wallcovering and molding as well as the dark wooden table inside a Richmond, Virginia, dining room inspired this dinner party’s chinoiserie décor.

This page: Hand-painted candles echo the chinoiserie pattern of the dining-room wallpaper. Instead of one large centerpiece, blue hydrangeas are displayed in individual vases. Opposite: Mix-and-match glasses add a note of informality to the dining table.

which hue are you?
Tudor’s selection of fine watches offers an array of expressive color options.
By Christen Fisher
“The best color in the whole world,” said fashion designer and entrepreneur Coco Chanel, “is the one that looks good on you.” Whether bold or subtle, classic or avant-garde, the color you choose to wear is a very public, yet highly personal endeavor. It is a statement you make to the world about yourself. In this spirit of self-expression, Tudor has injected bold color into its collection with the release of the Black Bay Chrono in pink in addition to three watches in the brand’s iconic “Tudor Blue”: the Black Bay Chrono, the Black Bay Ceramic and the Clair de Rose. Pink is a celebration of audacity and fearlessness. Whether it’s the pink jersey in the Giro d’Italia, the uniforms of David Beckham’s Inter Miami CF, or actor-musician Jay Chou’s signature color, Tudor’s limited-edition Black Bay Chrono “Pink” is the embodiment of that daring spirit. Housed in a satin-brushed and polished 41-millimeter, 316L-grade, stainless-steel case with a fixed bezel featuring a black anodized aluminum insert, the Black Bay Chrono “Pink” boasts a pink domed dial with contrasting black sub-dials, a date aperture at 6 o’clock, and Tudor’s signature snowflake hands filled with Grade A, Swiss Super-LumiNova® luminescent material. Powered by the self-winding, automaticcaliber MT5813, the watch is accurate to a –2/+4-second variation and has a weekend-proof power reserve of 70 hours, meaning that the wearer can take the watch off Friday evening and put it back on Monday morning without having to wind it. Only a small number of these bold statement pieces will be produced; they will be presented on a five-link, stainless-steel bracelet. If pink is not your color, Tudor has also released several pieces in “Tudor Blue.” That is not a single shade, but an expression of the brand’s commitment to blue as a permanent feature of its core aesthetic. With technical specifications identical to the Black Bay Chrono “Pink,” Tudor offers the boutique-exclusive Black Bay Chrono “Blue,” which features a bezel with a deep blue anodized aluminum insert and a matching dial with contrasting silver sub-dials. A highly legible and accurate sports chronograph, the 41-millimeter Black Bay Chrono “Blue” is designed for those who prefer a striking, yet more classic, palette.
Another “Tudor Blue” option is the Black Bay Ceramic “Blue.” With a dial in a shade of blue that matches the livery of the AA Visa Cash App RB Formula One team, this watch is a celebration of the brand’s return to motorsport. The Black Bay Ceramic “Blue” features a blue domed dial with applied hour markers and Tudor’s signature snowflake hands, both filled with Grade X1 Swiss, Super-LumiNova® luminescent material. The 41-millimeter case is matte black ceramic with a micro-blasted finish and monobloc middle case and features a unidirectional rotating bezel in black, PVD-treated, 316L steel with a sunray satin finish and engraved markings and numerals. It also boasts an open caseback revealing the self-winding automatic caliber MT5602-1U. With a 70-hour power reserve and waterproof to 200 meters (about 660 feet), there isn’t much this watch can’t stand up to. Presented on a hybrid leather and rubber strap with blue contrast stitching and black folding clasp, it also comes with an additional black fabric strap with a blue band.
For ladies seeking a burst of color in the form of an elegant dress watch, Tudor presents the Clair de Rose in yet another rich shade of “Tudor Blue.” Offered in three sizes—26-millimeter, 30 millimeter and 34 millimeter—the Clair de Rose features a brushed and polished steel case with screw-down winding crown adorned with a beautiful blue spinel cabochon. The finely wrought case houses either the caliber T601 (34 millimeters) or the T201 (26 or 30 millimeters) self-winding mechanical movement, each with a 38-hour power reserve. The Clair de Rose’s blue dial features delicate decorations in relief and is punctuated with a choice of Roman numerals or diamonds. Steel hour, minute and seconds hands and a date window at 3 o’clock complete the look. Offered on a five-link, stainless-steel bracelet with folding clasp and safety catch, the Clair de Rose in “Tudor Blue” is waterproof to 100 meters.
Tudor’s fine timepieces stand ready to help you follow Chanel’s advice and choose the color that looks best on you. Another gem from Coco? “Elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside.” That one fits too.

The timepiece is an expression of the brand’s commitment to the hue as an aesthetic feature. Men can wear pink too: Soccer star David Beckham shows off his Black Bay “Chrono” Pink.

EXCITING UPDATES AT LBG
From a new Mystic location to stunning store renovations and expanded workshops, we continue to grow while staying true to our legacy of craftsmanship and excellence.
At Lux Bond & Green, evolution is part of our legacy, and we are thrilled to announce a new chapter—our expansion to downtown Mystic. Set to open in 2026 on West Main Street, this upcoming destination holds special significance. The iconic Bank Square bookstore, where our family shopped for over 20 years, is moving, and we couldn’t imagine a more fitting location. Mystic, with its rich maritime history and vibrant community, provides the perfect setting as we extend our presence along the Connecticut and Rhode Island shoreline.
Exciting transformations are also underway within our existing stores. Our Glastonbury location at Somerset Square will undergo a new remodel, unveiling dedicated boutiques for Omega, IWC, and Breitling timepieces, alongside a beautifully curated David Yurman corner. Every detail will be refreshed, and a few surprises await when we celebrate the grand reopening this fall. Rest assured, we will remain open during renovations and anticipate launching a pop-up location within Somerset Square to continue serving our customers seamlessly.
In West Hartford, we have doubled the size of our watchmaker’s laboratory, enhancing the exceptional craftsmanship of our watchmakers and polishers. Our goldsmiths have also embraced
new heights. Meanwhile, in Westport, we have built an on-site goldsmith workshop, allowing for faster turnaround times on restorations, repairs, and custom creations—bringing unparalleled service directly to our customers.
Our Wellesley location continues to expand its selection of exquisite jewelry and gift collections, while Mohegan Sun remains our most dynamic store, bustling with the energy of world-class concerts, events, and our ongoing partnership with the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun.
And of course, we can’t forget about Store 52—our sister boutique in the heart of West Hartford Center. Home to an eclectic mix of contemporary jewelry collections, it also houses our largest estate jewelry and pre-owned watch selection, featuring brands such as Raymond Weil and Shinola. Whether you’re discovering a rare timepiece or simply enjoying a visit with our incredible team, Store 52 is always a destination for something special.
As Lux Bond & Green continues to grow, our commitment to craftsmanship, service, and community remains at the heart of everything we do. We look forward to welcoming you to our newest chapters—both near and on the horizon.

timeless stories, timeless jewels
David and Sybil Yurman’s story is one of beautiful art, love and jewelry—and their new book offers a deeper look into all three.
History offers endless examples of artistic pairs whose love stories deepened both their mythos and their art: Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. Within that pantheon, David and Sybil Yurman slot neatly. Parts of their story seem plucked from a script. They were born only two months and a few miles apart in New York City, and independently came into their own as artists (he as a sculptor, she as a painter and ceramicist). When they met by chance in 1969, a creative and personal partnership to last a lifetime was sparked. Together, guided by the goal of making “beautifully designed objects to wear,” they created the David Yurman brand, and over 50 years later that brand is one of the foremost in American luxury jewelry and one of the largest privately owned jewelers in the world.
Now, the duo—with the help of editor Thierry-Maxime Loriot—is showcasing their work as artists in Sybil and David Yurman: Artists and Jewelers (Phaidon, $69.95).

This intimate biography examines the work and life of both Sybil and David through original artworks, family photographs,
personal texts and archival materials, many of which have never been published. The text takes you deep into brand’s story, offering both striking jewelry portraits, original design sketches and behind-the-scenes images of global campaigns (featuring the likes of Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bündchen) and family photographs, Sybil and David’s own art and personal musings on their frequent partnerships with other artists.
Both a celebration of the brand’s past, from its earliest days in the underground art worlds of New York and California and through its emergence on the global stage, and a triumphant look to the future, with a conclusion section by the Yurmans’s son Evan, Sybil and David Yurman offers exclusive insight into one of the leading fine jewelry brands in the world. David Yurman himself says, “We’ve always chosen to bring the expression of our creations through the lens of art,” and the book certainly lives up to that promise. The cover design showcases one of Sybil’s paintings, while the title type is designed to resemble David’s welding in embossed gold foil. A luxury edition of the book is also available and comes tucked within a clamshell box, which is embossed with gold designs. Turn the pages and let yourself fall into a world of beauty, love—and the power of art itself.
