Children

Now is a good time to think about how you are going to include children in your special day, if they are attending the wedding.

If you have children from previous relationships you may want to include the children in the ceremony with a gift for the children for example a special necklace or Pounamu.

Another idea is for each person to have a container of coloured sand which they all pour into one container to signify everyone coming together.

It may be appropriate to talk with the other parents on how you are going to include the children, to keep them informed.

When you have children attending your wedding, whether they are your own or guests it is a long day for them, during the ceremony and speeches a little actiivtiy pack can keep them well entertained.

It would also be a good idea to talk to your venue as they may have activies to help keep the children entertained.
