Now it is a good way to guide your guests when they don’t know what to get you. Some people ask for money towards a big ticket item and include the request on their invitation which can read something like:

‘your presence at our wedding is enough of a gift, but should you wish to buy us something, we’d greatly appreciate a contribution towards our dream honeymoon.’

Or you can select items from a store and your guests can either purchase it for you or put money towards it.
