Ahunganui INTRODUCING MATARIKI AHUNGANUI A ONE DAY FORUM CELEBRATING ENVIRONMENTAL CROSS CULTURAL RESEARCH! Date: Friday 4th July, 2014 Venue: Tauranga Yacht and Boat Club, Sulphur Point, Tauranga Time: 9am – 3pm Theme: Mai uta ki tai – restoring and enhancing freshwater and coastal ecosystems and their services of importance to iwi, through a better understanding of the ecosystems and the degradation processes that affect them. Guest speakers include: » Dr Huhana Smith (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Tukorehe / Manaaki Taha Moana: Taiao Raukawa) » Dr Joanne Ellis (Cawthron: Senior Scientist in Coastal and Freshwater Group) » Mahuru Robb (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngai Tamarāwaho, Ngāti Awa, Ngāti Pūkeko / Manaaki Whenua, Landcare Research) Also presenting a variety of displays and a live demonstration of the Kapowai, Aerial Drone.
