Lap Time Revision Form no later than 9.00am on Sunday11th July 2010 to the Event Secretary
*Goal Laps For this example, each team comprises a minimum of 4 competitors and each competitor nominates a lap time in whole seconds that they believe they can maintain while on the circuit. Those nominated lap times (in seconds) are averaged and divided into 6 hours to give a theoretical maximum number of laps that could be achieved by the team. This number is then
or their representative.
laps actually completed by the team, varied by the addition of Bonus Laps or subtraction of Penalty Laps.
* Regularity Factor Regularity Factor is the difference between a driver’s fastest lap time and the average of their slowest 5 lap times. *Factor 1
*Bonus Laps
Factor 1 is Goal Laps / Achieved A Bonus Lap is reward for maintainLaps ing regularity and is awarded when Example: 564 / 352 = 1.602 the driver completes a lap within + 0.99 seconds of their nominated lap time.
*Factor 2
*Penalty Laps
e.g. Driver # 1 = fastest lap (1:15.10) and average of slowest 5 laps (1:18.28), factor
A Penalty Lap occurs when the driver completes a lap under their nominated lap time.

The inlap 4 drivers Driver #1 nominates of the incoming car and the out-lap 1:15.00 = 75 seconds of the outgoing car (a total of 2 laps, Driver #2 nominates 1:20.00 = 80 combined seconds time exceeding 2:30 minutes) are Driver #3 nominates 1:19.00 = 79 not counted. The software automatiseconds cally recognises a Driver #4 nominates 1:12.00 = 72 period in excess of 2:30 minutes seconds and generates a Changeover Lap. Factor 2 is obtained by averaging all the drivers’ Regularity Factors
= 3.18 Driver # 2 = 3.12 Driver # 3 = 4.87 Driver # 4 = 4.42 These factors are added and averaged to determine the team’s Factor 2, in this case = 3.897

A Brief History of Wakefield Park The Wakefield Park circuit was built by Paul Samuels and John Carter and was opened officially by John Fahey, the then NSW Premier and member for the Goulburn district in November 1994.
the Wakefield licence system, encouraging speed at the right venue and not on public roads were also introduced and continue today.
At 2.2 kilometres, with an reasonable length straight leading to a section of uphill bends with the loop at the top of the hill and then a downhill run into what became known as the fish hook section and a negatively banked last turn onto the main straight the circuit offered quite a challenge to achieve a quick lap.
this again has led to better lap times. 2010 has seen the introduction of a lighting system at all flag points that will warn drivers of incidents on the circuit and be operated from race control. With the complex now managed by Mathew Ronke and ongoing improvements happening the circuit is still a great club sport venue.
From 2001 to 2008 the circuit held a round of the V8 development series, this for many years It was built with club motor sport firmly in mind being the only stand alone round for those cars. The pit lane garages were added at this time, and with the control tower and paddock facilionce again improving the circuit’s facilities. ties and carports it made some of our existing circuits look a bit out dated. Wakefield Park, just another great part of the Goulburn area. Under the new ownership the Wakefield Park licensing and permit system was introduced. This gave clubs a cheaper alternative to CAMS for the running of events and members could also purchase a Wakefield licence with which they could compete in events that they may not normally be able to on a level 2 licence. Now the circuit uses the AASA insurance and permit system that which is now being used by a large proportion of motor sport promoters and clubs for events around the country.
