ALPINE PARK RIBBON CUTTING
WHAT’S HAPPENING The long-awaited opening of new residential communities in the southwest finally came through with the opening of Alpine Park, as land developer Dream Unlimited unveiled the first showhomes in the new community.
The first seven of 13 showhomes opened on October 30 from Calbridge Homes, Cardel Homes, Genesis Builders, and Homes by Dream. They lived up to the hype as the “next generation of greenfield development.”
Tara Steell, general manager of Dream’s Calgary Land division, says Alpine Park is at the forefront of Calgary’s new urbanism movement that focuses home designs on residents rather than vehicles.
“Great cities across North America have welcomed new urbanist developments into their community fabric, like Austin, Salt Lake City or Denver, and to have a community of this scale and calibre in our own backyard is exciting as a Calgarian,” says Tara Steell. “It’s such an inherently appealing concept and residents are going to absolutely fall in love with the tree-lined streets, charming porches, and incredible public spaces,” she said. “It all just sort of comes together and clicks when you experience it for yourself.” For more information on Alpine Park, visit alpinepark.ca

Walden Place releases final building
With its wide range of homes styles available, Walden Place has always prided itself in being a communitywithin-a-community. And now, this second largest development from Cardel Lifestyles is launching its final building.
“We are about to release for sale the last building of Walden Place,” says Cardel Lifestyle’s Brad Logel. “We’re very excited for this one as it will feature eight different condo plans, including some of the most popular we’ve ever had.”
The new plans will range from 493 to 1,104 squarefeet with prices ranging from $149,900 to $339,900 (plus GST). Possessions for this final building are expected to begin by mid 2023.
“We also have some quicker possessions in our Building 4 which has a time frame of spring 2022,” Logel says.
At 428 apartment-style condos and 40 townhomes, Walden Place will be Cardel Lifestyle’s second largest development. “We have already helped more than 385 people find their homes here,” Logel adds. And there is so much more to love in this southeast community of Walden than when Walden Place launched five years ago. “There are a ton of new amenities in the community, including the new Township commercial centre. There are many new restaurants and stores that have opened nearby adding to the convenience and walkability of Walden Place.”
