Celebrating the Life and Achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his message of hope, peace, and service, the Wallace State AmeriCorps Vistas, in conjunction with the Wallace State Diversity Committee, will offer two viewings of the film, "Mighty Times: The Children's March." This short documentary, produced by Teaching Tolerance and HBO, tells the story of how the young people of Birmingham braved arrest, fire hoses, and police dogs in 1963 and brought segregation to its knees. (Run time: approximately 40 minutes) The first showing will be Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m., in the lobby of the Bailey Center. The second showing will be Thursday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m., in the School of Nursing and Center for Science. All Wallace State students, faculty, staff and guests are welcome, and invited also to view the MLK display case and posters located in Lion Central.
