How to achieve the next Level in Science Level 3

You can recall specific level 3 factual information.

Level 4

You can recall specific level 4 factual information. You can: State/ Discuss/ Recognise/ Label/ Select. You can describe what is happening?

Level 5

e.g. 'The diagram tells me the rate of reaction is increasing''. You can recall specific level 5 factual information. You can: Explain How/ Decide/ Suggest/ Discuss You can explain why is it happening?

Level 6

e.g. 'This is because the temperature is increasing which increases the rate'. You can recall specific level 6 factual information. You can: Devise/ Conclude/ Predict/ Plan/ Determine. You can analyse: use abstract ideas to explain why things are happening?

Level 7

e.g. 'The scientific reason for this is that temperature increases the particles get more energy and move faster'. You can recall specific factual level 7 information. You can: Use a model to explain/ Give reasons/ Make connections/ Use scientific words. You can link the cause and effect. e.g. 'As they are moving more quickly they collide with each other more often. This means that more of the reactants are changed into products in the same time'.
