Love Food Hate Waste was launched in 2007. The organisation raises awareness of the need to reduce food waste and encourages us all take action to tackle it. Since 2007, avoidable food and drink waste has reduced by a massive 21%. Saving consumers ÂŁ3.3 billion a year and councils around ÂŁ85 million in 2012 alone. Love Food Hate Waste also attend lots of food festivals to try and educate people on how they can reduce their waste.
