With a series of essential projects in execution since the beginning of the works, the current administration of the Municipality of São Roque stands out for promoting visible changes in the city, which are part of a vital modernization process, accompanied by growth, development, and the improvement of the quality of life for the population.

Duplicate access to Castello

News that put an end to a wait of more than 30 years: the Livio Tagliassachi Highway, which connects São Roque to Castello Branco Highway, will be doubled. The news was confirmed by the Government of the State of São Paulo at a meeting attended by the city’s mayor, Guto Issa.

Strengthened security

By valuing the work of security agents and strengthening corporations, São Roque has become an increasingly safer city. Both the Military Police and the Municipal Civil Guard are the focus of attention of the current administration, and the measures implemented so far are positive for the city.

Military police officers who serve São Roque once again receive the pro-labore, which adds R$750.00 a month to each one’s salary. The return of the benefit was possible thanks to the renewal of the agreement between the City Hall and the Military Police, bringing important reinforcement to the city’s security.

For the Municipal Civil Guard, new weapons and equipment were purchased, which improved the effectiveness of service to the population. In addition, agents had access to courses in self-defense and rescue, offered through partnerships between the City Hall and the private sector.

Enlightened city

LED lighting has proven to be more efficient, safe, and economical for public roads. In São Roque, more than 1,000 new luminaires of this type were installed in the districts of Maylasky and São João Novo, which had not yet been included in the renovation. LED lighting fixtures are more efficient with greater lighting capacity and durability and bring more safety to neighborhood streets.
