Sketch Model
Reconfigured Model
For the reconfiguration model I created the pyramid and build the model with arraging individual element to form a three-dimentional model, which logical arragement derives from skin system of pineapple.
8
Sketch Model The series of photographs show the different views of reconfigured model to show the logic within the arrangement.

Sketch Design #1 Edges, single and continues boundary
How does this respond to your personal space? This design use the simple and single curve to define the invisible boundary around the people make intruders may not come (Sommer, 1969). It can be seen from the sketchs above that the personal space extends broader in the front of the people than at their sides. Also, the spiral arrangement of the design model can support both hands and head, which can provide a suitable environment for sleeping. In addition, this design is designed for sleeping people who are sitting on the ground or on a chair. Moreover, as the model can cover the sleeping people’s face to not to be seen by other people thus somehow offer some privacy for sleeping activity. 10
Sketch Design #2 Layered. spherical area
How does this respond to your personal space? This design creates a spherical boundaries to cover sleeping person’s upper part of the body. The sleeping pod also can keep intruders out of the personal space as this noteworthy sleeping pod provides a signal of keeping certain distance for surrounding people. In addition, it is worthy to notice that this sleeping pod is going to set on the chair by using additional tools such as nails and glues. Furthemore, the layerd structure offers some privacy for sleeping person as it looks like a shelter in the public space. 11
Sketch Design #3 Shell, Cover, Lid, Protection
How does this respond to your personal space? This design model is a shell-like structure which also looks like a bridge set above the sleeping person between the chair and the table. The idea is to offer security for sleeping people by seeting a boundary around sleeping person’s head and two sides. Also, this sleeping pod has a openning on the one side that people can access into it easily.
