GoodRoad CiderWorks is proud to be Charlotte’s first meadery. We make artisan meads (honey wine) from varietals of honey which include clover, orange blossom and wildflower. Our meads range from semidry to sweet and focus on letting the nuances of the honey dance on your palette. Along with our ciders, the meads are also gluten free and available for your enjoyment in our comfortable tasting room.

About GoodRoad CiderWorks
The Orchard
The Mezzanine
GoodRoad CiderWorks is a new world cidery that honors the tradition of the old world through unique artisanal ciders & meads (honey wine) that appeal to a broad array of consumers. GoodRoad is the only Charlotte-area company that produces both cider and mead locally.
The Orchard private event space can be closed off from the tap room for a more intimate experience. The Orchard provides space for approximately 100 people. It has its own private entrance, outdoor patio with picnic tables, private bar, audio-visual system and semi-private restroom. A window within the space looks into the production area.
The Mezzanine semi-private event space rests above our tap room and provides seating for more than 28 people, and approximately 40 standing people. The mezzanine is only accessible by stairs.
The GoodRoad name comes from our founder and head cider maker, Brian Beauchemin: his French Canadian last name is translated into English as Good Road. Brian grew up in Vermont and is bringing some of that New England charm to the cidery with reclaimed barn wood and barn doors as part of the decor. Traditional old-world cider making meets the new world with 11 stainless steel tanks that produce a wide variety of ciders. Brian and our head mead maker, Kevin Martin, are passionate about making great artisanal ciders and meads that are enjoyed by the Charlotte market and beyond.
