Warwick SU eNewsletter

So it’s that time of year again, the joys of term 3 exams! I’m sure most of you will agree that the year has just flown by. For all you Freshers’ it’s the end of the eNewsletter Week 3 – Term 3 beginning. For Finalists, it is the end and hopefully the beginning of another wonderful chapter outside the bubble. For the other years, it’s neither the end nor the beginning. We would advice to work but don’t work too hard. Make sure you take breaks and do some exercise. It releases endorphins and distresses you. Eat properly and sleep. In my experience, exams tend to go better if you look after yourself. Remember the SU is here to support you in anything you need us for during this stressful time – between the Student Advice Centre, Sami and Sumaiya there is support to help you. Additionally there is also Nightline. They are a student-run, confidential, and non-judgemental listening service. This means you can stop by, call or email them for any reason and they won't judge you or tell you what to do. Nightline is trying to improve their awareness and have created a survey to get feedback from you as to what you think about them and their service. The survey is completely anonymous and will take under 5 minutes to complete. Click here to fill out the survey. Did you know that coffee could make you more tired, or that bananas can make you happier? How about that exercise can wake you up, or that studying outside could calm you down? Between weeks 3 and 7, our Feel Good campaign will be rolling itself out again to make sure everyone gets through the next few months with as little unwanted stress as possible. We'll be providing you with practical hints and tips to make sure you realise how changes to a few simple things (such as diet, caffeine intake, sleep patterns, and water consumption) can have a massive difference in terms of your happiness and mental wellbeing.

If you have any comments, jokes or funny pictures related to the general election the please send them to bubble@warwicksu.com Couldn’t vote in the General Election? If so then you can still get your vote informally registered on this site: www.icouldntvote.com. Make sure you do. The Student’s Union is putting together an international cookbook. Having already killed the crowd with the 'demonic overground club smash' (Sunday Times Culture) Hooligans and crossover Top 20 hit (and Radio 1 Alisted) single Watch The Sun Come Up, man of the moment EXAMPLE returns with an infectious new single Won't Go Quietly and forthcoming UK Tour. This is one gig not to miss. If a straight up party is more your thing, then say hello to Gatecrasher. Gatecrasher makes a welcome return to Warwick in week 3 with legendary DJ Paul Wilkins returning to play a set that is sure to span the ages and blow the roof straight off the Union. As you all probably know by now Gatecrasher's signature club is based just up the road in Birmingham and has been voted the number one club in the UK, so we thought rather than you trudging all the way over there we would get them to make the trip this way.
