stray dogs well-fed, wearing coats, and lying on mattresses. “There are about 10-15 dogs in Khan Market that are clothed, vaccinated and fed by two or three locals,” says Mohan Kadam of Windsor in Khan Market. “I give milk and bread to the dogs on the ITO bridge. I feed them while coming from office,” says Mehak Aggarwal, a resident of Preet Vihar. Not only dogs, there are other stray animals that people also take care off. “I have been feeding a stray cow and her newly born calf. I feed her around eight chapattis with jaggery everyday, so that she can keep warm. She is also fed peanuts, pea shells and leafy vegetables by other people,” says Shubhra Singh, a resident of Mayur Vihar.
