A Letter from
THE DEAN OF STUDENT LIFE I am excited you are exploring W&J – it’s a wonderful college with an abundance of opportunities for all students to be part of our vibrant, engaged, supportive, and transformative campus! The four years you will spend in college are tremendous. Not only do you get to live more independently with lots of safety nets in place, you will also spend four years exploring new interests, developing passions that you didn’t know you have, expanding your sense of yourself and the world around you – all in a campus environment where you will develop lifelong relationships with peers, faculty, staff, and alumni. Through your exploration of the College, I am confident you will learn of the many experiences W&J offers. Here, students are actively engaged in shaping the campus experience. These experiences happen formally through campus leadership, athletic involvement, student government, student organizations and recreation. But they also occur casually at the dining hall tables and in residence halls, through travel opportunities, and at campus events. All of which make you a professionally ready graduate prepared to take on the world and impact your work and life. Every individual who works at W&J is committed to seeing students succeed – our college motto, Juncta Juvant (Together We Thrive), is emblematic of this commitment. Our primary focus is in supporting your intellectual and personal development over your college career. We are eager to get to know you as a prospective student, welcome you when you first arrive, support you over your college years and maintain that contact as mentors and allies as you progress in your life at W&J. I hope that you will continue to explore your future at W&J. We would love to have you join our community! Juncta Juvant

SGA from the President of
Through different roles, I have found satisfaction in serving W&J students and the community... Join a club, start a club, run for SGA, and/or lead your teammates: that is how you can serve your peers and W&J. Get involved because you want to be involved. At W&J College, we pride ourselves as community members with uncommon integrity. This means doing everything with full force, gusto, and passion. This means serving our college community and knowing that everyone has the potential to be empowered and everyone has the potential to make an impact. By serving your college, you can build a college community that is even better than when you arrived here today for your matriculation. If you get involved, if you serve your W&J community, and if you help uplift your fellow students, you can ensure that we continue to thrive together.

FIRST-YEAR HOUSING The most important word in the first-year residence halls at W&J is “community.” Your residential experience begins the day you move in when you meet with your Resident Assistant (RA), Residential Learning Coordinator (RLC), and the rest of your community. During your first year, you’ll discover that living on campus at W&J is more than just living in your residence hall. You’ll participate in community events, student activities, and residential programming, all aimed at developing you as a leader and creating bonds between you and your fellow Presidents.
15
Community & You.
All first-year residence hall rooms are furnished with two beds, two desks, two chairs, two dressers, and two wardrobes (for rooms without built-in closets). Each residence hall has a fully equipped kitchen and study lounge. The great news is that laundry is free - no need to collect all those coins! And we know having your own refrigerator is important, so you can bring one or rent a micro-fridge when you arrive on campus.

W&J is home to eight fraternity and sorority houses, which are located along Chestnut Street - our version of “Greek Row.” These three-story buildings have common spaces throughout them, a large chapter room, full kitchen, single and double rooms on the second and third floors, and an apartment suite on the ground floor. Fraternity & Sorority Life at W&J is based on four standards that fraternities and sororities everywhere strive to achieve: academic excellence, leadership, service to community, and friendship for life.

They provide educational programming, resources, leadership opportunities, and service events to attain universal growth for our Fraternity & Sorority Life community. Themed Housing & Pet Housing The unique housing opportunities don’t stop on Chestnut Street! Themed housing is one of the most coveted features of the W&J residential experience. These houses are designed to provide an environment where students can explore the interconnected relationship between what is learned and what is lived. The themed communities bring together diverse groups of residents with common intellectual, political, and social interests. Providing opportunities for students with similar interests, these spaces allow Presidents to live together and participate in specially designed programs that cater to their interests. These communities, termed “Living Learning Communities,” are central to the residential experience.

CULTURAL CONNECTIONS HOUSE Cultural Connections House is home to female-identifying students. This space celebrates the multiculturalism within our campus community. If you’re interested in exploring new cultures, foods, or traditions, or want to be a part of showcasing your own, then you’ll love living in this space.
Did you know you can also bring your pet to campus? That’s right! At W&J, we recognize that you might not want to leave your furry friend behind when you move to campus. Located in Adams and Buchanan halls, these houses provide a friendly environment for pets, their owners, and pet lovers. Featuring a pet-washing station and pet-friendly interior, the pet houses are just the place for furry companions. These residence halls make a great home to upperclass students with dogs, cats, lizards, birds, snakes, and a variety of other small animals.
