The Kitchen Grocery: Buy Once, Grow Forever
Cheesemaking Workshop
The kitchen grocery is a term that describes growing food inside your home kitchen all year round. Since good quality food is expensive, it makes sense to acquire the knowledge necessary to reduce your grocery bills, and improve your nutrient intake, all while maintaining a fun project. While it may be unlikely that you can completely eliminate a grocery bill, you can grow certain foods in a most special way: regrowth. From upcycling basil stems to regrowing celery, a little effort can go a long way. Discover the tricks and learn the steps of regrowing.
Discover how easy it is to make fantastic soft cheeses at home. We will discuss and sample several cheeses that you can cultivate right in your own kitchen. Next, we will get to work making both mozzarella and chèvre, and also learn a few recipes for whey (a by-product of cheesemaking). You’ll take home recipes, resources, culture and cheesecloth to begin your own homestead cheesemaking.

Codependence in Interpersonal Conflicts Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a global public health issue. The role of codependence as an integral part of this dynamic has been peripherally understood and inadequately addressed in most therapeutic situations. IPV victims regardless of sex, sexual preference or race have a significant need for clinical intervention that identifies and addresses codependence issues. This seminar will help clinicians teach their clients to recognize the eight early signs of a potentially violent relationship, the dynamics of codependence and IPV, and distinguish phases of violence through examining the power and control cycle.
