THE CARS

The rally and rallycross cars are similar in appearance and configured to conform to series-specific regulations. Rallycross cars boast 600 BHP/900Nm torque 8,000 RPM/AWD manual shift and capable of 0-60 MPH in 1.9 seconds, delivering serious amounts of power and torque without the luxury of traction control.


SECTION 2: THE SERIES


FIA WORLD RALLYCROSS (WRX)

Rallycross is one of the fastest growing forms of motorsports in the world with impassioned fans tuning in to watch it across the Globe. Rallycross is a form of circuit racing on a track with mixed surfaces, usually asphalt and/or gravel. FIA WRX holds 12 rounds at various venues, each spanning two days. Races are four laps (six in semis & final) including one Joker lap. Four heat races and two semi-finals determine the top-six cars for the final. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded at the end of each round and the World Champion is the driver with the most Championship Points after 12 rounds. By leveraging an extensive social footprint combined with huge television reach, Rallycross takes advantage of a millennial audience looking for a quicker and higher intensity form of racing than traditional motorsports. These fans are engaged, they are loyal and they are on the cutting edge of what’s “cool” and with Ken’s global popularity through his Gymkhana video franchise, he’s one of the fan favorites. By competing in the full series Ken is creating a global activation opportunity and fan engagement platform that capitalizes on his films popularity.
