JOB DESCRIPTION Position: ​Project Manager Job Location: ​Dharamsala Reporting to: ​CEO/COO in Dehradun Head Office Experience: ​Prior full-time experience​ ​in project management or operations positions Details: ​Full-time position for a minimum of one year. Introduction Waste Warriors is a not-for-profit NGO working in the field of waste management, working in the Dharamsala, Dehradun, and Corbett areas, conducting door-to-door collection, event waste management, education programs, awareness-raising, and advocacy. We are currently recruiting a Project Manager for our Dharamsala project location ​to plan, implement, manage, monitor, evaluate, and advocate for our waste management project activities. Responsibilities of the Project Manager 1. Plan, implement, and delegate all project activities and ensure smooth operations. 2. Manage office and field staff, including recruiting, interviews, and assessments. 3. Evaluate and adjust efficiency and effectiveness of project activities based on results. 4. Organise awareness events, fundraising, presentations, and talks. 5. Liaison and partner with similar organisations and government bodies to tackle waste management issues pertaining to our project areas. 6. Prepare project proposals and reports for head office and government bodies. 7. Plan feasibility studies and growth strategies to expand existing projects. 8. Supervise social media updates and compile info for website and newsletters. 9. Respond to telephone and email enquiries from volunteers, interns, and other organizations. 10. Explore opportunities to replicate our SWM models outside current project locations. 11. Document and monitor all income and expenditure of the project.

A Successful Candidate Will: ● Have completed a college degree or vocational diploma. ● Have a genuine interest in working in the social sector. ● Be passionate about the environment and a cleaner India. ● Enjoy working with local and foreign volunteers, community members, and children. ● Be bilingual (must be able to speak English and Hindi fluently). ● Have prior experience in planning, development, and management. ● Have a basic knowledge of waste management and eager to learn more.
