BDWF Welcomes members of Watchgeeks.net BDWF Welcomes members of Watchgeeks.net!

We would like to welcome you to our corner of the Internet during the catastrophic system(s) and software failure of Watchgeeks. We look forward to your stay and participation on BDWF.net as it is truly a diverse forum, from watches to people, and trust us, you will enjoy the site and our membership.

Our members enjoy watch brands from all over the world and love to talk about them and obviously show them off in our WOW and WYW forums. You will see brands from Alpha to Zodiac and everything in between. The diversity does not stop there; check out the twilight zone where you will find humor (lots of it) and a host of other cool posts that sometimes are out there, but all in a good, family atmosphere.

We hope that Watchgeeks.net returns as we are sure you miss some friends you have made on that forum, but we also hope you make friends on BDWF.net and bookmark our site as a daily stop.

In the meantime, email your WatchGeeks.net friends and let them know you are at BDWF.net so you can get back to chatting up watches and enjoying your hobby with fellow watch owners.

Enjoy!

“steal” Watchgeek members with sleazy tactics. I didn’t realize that members from any forum were owned and that they were not interested in visiting other sites---or maybe it’s just visiting BDWF.

Regardless of what others have said about BDWF on watchgeeks newly returned forum, Mark and I and the rest of the Admin Team stand by our original decision to offer a hand of friendship to Watchgeek members who might want to see other forums such as BDWF. We again offer our home as a breath of fresh air for those who may want to visit and join us. For those that don’t, that’s perfectly all right too. Our doors are open and we invite all to come in and have a look around. Our welcome remains intact regardless of the sick and twisted thoughts of some.

Thanks to all who have decided to give us a try. We hope to see you around often. But, at the same time, we hope you enjoy your return to W G and we wish everyone the best. _________________

Well said.

And welcome to all the new members!

Reminds me of some exclusive country club where you are discriminated against for no reason and if you break their rules, you'll be punished. This is really pathetic that it comes down to this. Is that why Wing isn't here anymore. Kind of like a conflict of interest. I personally will NEVER go there. Randy and Mark and the entire team, YOU are the professionals here and are to be commended for your generousity and hospitality to the members of this watch community. Thank You.

Let me guess. Randy and/or Mark went over there and posted for all to see: Come on over to BDWF everyone.

Oh wait, they couldn't do that because the site was down for DAYS.

I cant even begin to fathom how this is being taken as "sleazy". Like most WIS I am sure people were surfing other watch sites while they were down including this one. All we did was create a thread welcoming them here.

So much for someone's best intentions! _________________

not. We are all on different forums to acquire a wealth of information about a hobby that intrigues us. Much like sports there are people who like to play and people who have to win. I like to play and discuss my hobby with a plethora of people and opinions. I may be an admin here but I do not stay on one forum. I frequent many watch, sports car and aircraft forums and am able to learn something from each of them.

For the people who have discovered BDWF I say welcome. For those who do not like BDWF there are many different places to talk about watches instead of people.

As forest Gump said

Re: BDWF Welcomes members of Watchgeeks.net I don't publicly state my mind about these subjects too often but to be quite honest, this has been eating at me all day. "solicit" membership or make fun of another site's dilema. We (really the owners) tried to take the high road and somewhat offer a peace pipe by doing this. Mark even went as far as announcing their site was back up. What would be the point of that if we were

trying to solicit members?

Bottom line is a nice gesture was made and it backfired on us as now some (newly) former members have spoken out against our actions because we "didn't have them fooled". Okay. Bottom line is if you had a good time here, I personally hope you continue to enjoy the forum and whatever other forum you may be a part of. If not then of course it is a free country and you're free to go where ever makes you happy. Just judge for yourself and don't let anyone pursuade you from doing what you feel is best for you.

Thanks to all of the members that participate and have a good time here. I've really enjoyed getting to know a lot of you through PMs

and through posting and hopefully the friendships that have been created here will continue.

Now...who got a new watch? _________________

Re: BDWF Welcomes members of Watchgeeks.net The truly sad thing is... it was nothing more than a simple, genuine welcome.

It was stated more than once that we understood their site would be back up and running again soon, but their members were welcome here even for a short visit. _________________ Joined: Fri Jul 21, 2006 8:50 pm Posts: 12093 Location: NY Finger Lakes

Thanks to all of you for making us feel at home.

It's been awhile since I've been back on this forum but I think I'll stick around, even when the other forum starts again.

Thanks to all for making us feel welcome.

To the members of this forum; WatchItToMe, a member of this

forum as well as some other place has undergone surgery. We'd started a thread for her in Watchgeeks and I would invite those on this site to also wish her well, as a fellow member of BDWF and a watch lover. Admin. If you feel this message needs to be move to a different forum, please do so.

Thanks all of you!!

Hello Diane!

Welcome aboard BDWF! It is nice to see you here! And thank you for your concern with the surgery and how I am fairing. Especially with the other site being down. I haven't been able to let my friends there know that I am ok. I am so glad to see you here, too!

Thank you to Mark, Randy, Gary, Shawn and Axie and the whole team here for making us at WatchGeeks.net feel so welcome. You have a wonderful site here and it has been a pleasure to join in the fun of collecting with some more fellow enablers.

All joking

aside, I really appreciate the formal invite too. Great gesture, BTW, I forgot my toothbrush. Can I get a free one at the front desk. I'm all about that MM!

Perry,

You are priceless! I wouldn't trade you for anything in the whole world. A watch you say......well maybe, but nothing more. I swear it.

You had best break down and brush those teeth, Pookie!

Welcome to BDWF my friend. Good to have you here!

Seriously, I saw this thread this morning and thought it was a very nice gesture on the part of BDWF to extend that very genuine welcome, and for them to turn it around like that is just wrong.

I lurked "over there" from time to time, but decided early on I would NEVER join and NEVER did, and the infantile behavior being exhibited now (and in the past) confirms my decision. Guess I won't even be lurking anymore.

I wonder if ShopNBC and their vendors knows about the "exclusivity" of that site and the sneak peeks that only they get and the absolute disdain they exhibit towards the other forums/members (BDWF in particular) and the exclusion of those potential ShopNBC customers from participating or being allowed to share in those exclusive "heads ups".

Shame on them. _________________ Randy in Nashville ______________________________________ "I never drink water... fish make love in it." W.C.
