By the way, Michael registered under a false name at Alans site.
From Michael to Alan Z freak "If you refuse to remove the negative remarks, than I will have no other option than to start taking punitive actions against those that are violating our TOS on your behalf..." If you refuse to remove the negative remarks, than I will have no other option than to start taking punitive actions against those that are violating our TOS on your behalf. And I will have no more reason to ask you to try and be reasonable in your approach to us. I ask politely. You either go with it or not. If you don't, then I just don't ask anymore. Like I said, to ask in an impolite manner gets me no place. What am I going to threaten you with? I am going to say mean things about you and/or your site?
From: "**************msn.com> To: "Alain" <barfootin@juno.com> Subject: Re: Sorry about the delay Date: Thu, 18 Jun 2009 21:06:17 -0500 That's just fasinating. Actually I haven't purchased anything for quite a while. I've totally lost interest in Invcita due to the CS, QS and all the secrecy and hiding. I prefer dealing with companies who are proud of themselves rather than those who try and hide who they are. I'd like to purchase something from George one day but to date nothing really jumps up and says "buy me". I think some of it is the forums too I know I've lost interest in WG I was on there a couple hours every day but now I spend less than an hour on there a week. I'm just so sick of all the "Aint Jim wonderful" he packs them full of BS and they just can't wait for more. Michael is a little boy who whines and likes to play the tough guy and I'm here to tell you he's no tough guy. He cries far too much to be a tough guy. Anyway I hope you find a home on a forum you just have so very much to offer and your honesty and straight forward approach is so very refreshing. We'll my granddaughter is stopping on her way home from the ballgame to pick up a purity ring I bought her and I need to get it wrapped. Great hearing from you as always and I really enjoyed the information you shared I especially loved the part where Michael sent me the "scathing" PM too funny. Hope to hear from you soon. Hi,
Long time eh. How are things with you? Have you had a chance to purchase anything else recently like a new watch I was banned from WG after having a 14 day "non suspension" allegedly based on corrupt software. The problem there is I am a network engineer with over 30 years in the industry. Fool me once as dad used to say. Zfreak has suffered the same problems. He started his own forum and now members there are being monitored. Several were contacted by flybait asking that they not participate there.
Skelton contacted Alan to ask if he could respond to my post about being banned and Alan refused. Brad (flybait ) is whining that people are contacting ownership at WG with threats anon..... Michael has outright lied about why I was banned and after reviewing his tread on the involvment of Invicta, he lied about that too.
One of these concerns you.........
Comments from the Kool Kids (mods) and the Big Four (flybait, jim, bruce and Michael) I am getting so tired of reading these uninformed but talking like they know it all assholes!!! They are starting to appear like a bad case of crotch rot!! God they are everywhere!!! Whining about the silliest things The stones are not real....Wah!!! is it a real piece of Gibeon Meteorite!!! my pin bent!!! OH how I've been wronged!! I want my momma cause my OTV for 79.00 dollars doesn't feel like a Reserve watch...even though it ain't...not even close...even in my wildest dreams...no matter how bad I want it to be!! Rant Session....OFF! WOW! That felt GOOOOD!!
I am so tired of these a$$ clowns and the stones thing. All they have to do is go read up on it. As far as I know, Bruce is the one he thinks took a whiz in his Wheaties. I say blast away. The idiots have been coming out of the woodwork lately. Pepper however (with the thread of warning about the price on the Sea Wzard) feels you were quite mean to him. I sent him a rather...er...scathing PM earlier this evening about referring to you and hyping things.
The post that got to them.......
http://zsmeantime.forumotion.com/general-watch-discussion-f4/potger-pietri-by-invictaswis s-made-t23.htm And the post made at Wg which was taken down by flybait less than 60 seconds after it went up. Sorry, meant to post this sooner but had some log-in issues...... Tis is meant to educate so you are an informed buyer, not a bash. A watch is a watch. Buy it if you like it.
I have read in recent posts on several forums that Swiss Made Invicta watches were probably made in the Potger Pietri factory or S. Coifman factory. curiosity got the better of me I am afraid so I wrote to someone I know who is a member of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH and better yet, a member of their legal department.....
His response..........
Dear Alain,
It is nice to hear from you again. You always ask interesting and thought provoking questions that are a pleasure to respond to.
As you may know, Swiss law (Swiss federal Ordinance governing the use of the name "Swiss" or "Switzerland" for watches; please see enclosure) gives the criteria which must be met for a watch to be considered as Swiss and to be allowed to bear Swiss indications.
According to Article 3 of this Ordinance, "the name "Switzerland", indications such as "Swiss", "Swiss product", "manufactured in Switzerland", "Swiss quality" or other appellations which contain the name "Swiss" or "Switzerland" or which may be confused therewith may be used solely for Swiss watches or Swiss watch movements".
Article 1a of the Ordinance states that a watch may be considered as Swiss if, and only if it fulfills the following minimum criteria:
1. Its movement is Swiss; 2. its movement is cased up in Switzerland, and 3. the manufacturer carries out the final inspection in Switzerland.
Furthermore, Article 2 of the Ordinance defines the Swiss watch movement as the movement which: 1. has been assembled in Switzerland, and; 2. has been inspected by the manufacturer in Switzerland, and; 3. the components of Swiss manufacture make up for at least 50 percent of the value, without considering the cost for assembly.
According to article 3 of this law, in case the watch only contains a Swiss movement but does not comply with the other requirements, the dial may only bear the indication "Swiss movement". The word "movement" must appear written out in full in the same type-face, dimension and colour as the appellation "Swiss". (think Renato)
In other words, a watch bearing the terms "Swiss made" on its dial should not only contain a Swiss movement, but this movement should be cased up in Switzerland and the Swiss manufacturer should have performed the final inspection of the watch.
Swiss law territorial scope of application is of course limited to Switzerland in principle, but thanks to some bilateral treaties, this law is also applicable in some European countries. Furthermore, the Federation is very keen to protect Swiss denominations when associated with watches, especially in the USA, where we have registered certifications marks for the words "Swiss" and "Swiss made".
Having said that, we know that some unscrupulous sellers and/or producers are using Swiss names on watches in an illegitimate manner. Thus, buying Swiss watches through official dealers is the only secure way to ensure that you get a truly Swiss watch.
According to Invicta's website, the brand Potger Pietri belongs to their group. The trademark "Potger Pietri" has been registered in the USA by Lalo, Eyal, CEO of Invicta (registration n째 2938664). We do not have any information as to the compliance of the Potger Pietri watches marked "Swiss made" with the Swiss Ordinance mentioned above. WIthout proof that such compliance exists, the watches may not be legally marked "Swiss made".
Hoping that this information will prove to be useful, and staying at your service, I remain,
Yours sincerely

Antigone is making the S Coifmans. All of the claimed adresses are contractors.
Claude Meylan's watches look like S Coifmans. look at the adress and you know the rest. ShopNBC sometimes will include a note that you will get a cert from Antigone with an S Coifman. Claude Meylan is part of Antigone. It is run by a couple of women. Claude Meylan, BTW, is a reknowed watchmaker. He is a big time consult to JLC. You could probably get that "s.coifman" cheaper by buying a Claude Meylan. At least, every watch collector knows who he is and he answers his own phones. Portions of this were investigated by another WIS, Randy and Kudos to him.

what was sent to michael this evening
Michael, Under normal circumstances I would not even bother to respond to this. Because I thought you were a good man is the only reason I do so.
no one is blackmailing you. I am tired of the crap and lies regarding WG. Comments about having people “kill themselves” by Bruce are fine? More and more threads being shut down and the TOS being used as an excuse is wrong and while people will not complain to you, they do to me and others. Jim’s interference with an interview by Rusty at WTW using posts by Banned/temp as a basis is out right BS PERIOD. Guys like him are going to complain regardless. Get over it.
From : "Jim Skelton" <watchguy@************
To : "Koimaster" <snurfers@juno.com> Subject : Re: You are NOT banned
Marianne WAS going to do an interview at WTW. I spoke with her a few days ago.
Once she began reading the vile things posted there (like posts by "temp" about me when I was injured recently), she does not want to associate with, or participate with a forum like that.
-Jim Spying on members (monitoring what is posted) at other forums is BS. And to have emails justifying it because everyone else does it? I thought WG was started to get away from that? A step above the BDWF and similar forums. And to try to get a member banned for what is said at another forum? I made it clear I am above the forum wars. That may not hold much longer. Brad is right with his comments “holier than thou”. I am better than him. I have more tolerance for other views, I don’t abuse my power and I am willing to listen. I have never disclosed your comments to me about Renato nor will they be. That is between you and me. My post was not invicta bashing. I made it clear it was not. A simple edit would have been fine and a line to let me know why. Instead….,,, Violating the TOS….. Let me count the ways those in control of the forum have…. I have not bashed shopnbc. I have made it clear that I do not do business with them and why but that goes back a ways. Renato bashing. You mean keeping Daniel honest? Refer to #6. Do you have any idea the can of worms you have opened with my banning?
I am going back to my patio and watch the koi swim around. And I do thank you for the work
you did even if others do not.
Alain I just sent this to Michael in response to his email to me this morning.
Spare me please.. I downloaded everything after Brad sent me the PM. I was already on the site Michael. Believe what you want but I have been in this business since 1976. My extended education is in Computer Science. I had several of my engineers look at what was going on and what they told me is a bit different that what was told to me. In fact, If I stepped out of my office or home and latched onto another network, say T-Mobile, cleared the cookies and cache and did not log on.... no issues. Try that same network and log in...IP block. Deliberate or otherwise that was it. Not a corrupt file. One of my engineers in Seattle uses the same version of your software for his forum. He contacted support also.
Contacting members of WG who drop into Alan’s place is a bit out of line. In addition, for JS to contact Alan and ask to respond to my post is a stretch considering he cannot log into WG. I strongly suggest you people pull in your horns. If I find out one more person is contacted "even as a personal favor" and asked not to post elsewhere... I will contact the FBI here in town and ask them to investigate WG and the ownership/management for attempted intimidation.
I strongly suggested to all of you not to screw with me. I was content to let sleeping dogs lie to protect members of WG. You chose to piss me off for no reason. You monitored my posts and that is a no no. I also have that in emails from not only you but also others in ownership. Yesterday, my attorney, acting on my request has provided substantial information to several sources including regulatory ones. Diamond Jim should worry about his job as was claimed in a message sent to a WG member. No employer would ever tolerate what I have read. Tomorrow more information will be sent out. I received numerous emails over the last 48 hours. Several of those were from those who had posts from the forum which had been left open to the public. Some items were duplicates, others were not. It seems some people don’t like WG much.
I promised you I would not divulge what you wrote me about Renato and I will keep that promise to you. You should know that the attorney for Howard has contacted me about what I may know. Although I know more than most, a promise is a promise and I don’t like Howard anymore than I like Daniel Mink. You should have just edited out what you did not agree with, let me know and left it at that. It would not have been the first time it had been done to a forum member. Let Brad know that he is not ask any more “personal favors” of people who post elsewhere.
From a WG member to me..parsed to protect them. The member received the information from a WG mod.
********* warned me that I shouldnt join because there was some nasty behind the scene talk about alans new forum!!!
I downloaded the messages. Because of events that transpired this evening, I am going to make another post in regards to our TOS (Terms of Service) and very, VERY strongly urge that everyone take a moment to read them. The link to them can be found here: http://watchgeeks.net/showthread.php?t=7273 Today, a post was made by a long term member. It was removed. A PM was sent to that user explaining that the post had been removed, why it was removed and under what conditions it could be re-posted. Instead of dealing with the issue as it was, this member decided to take the note from a member of the admin team and send it to 25 other people. Some on the forum and some off of the forum. This is a violation of our TOS. It states (in part):
and you also bent the truth here............
