Cannon aka kayfaber a watchgeek moderator accused of being scammer & dishonest

Page 1

Cannon aka Kayfaber at WUS is also a moderator at watchgeeks.net accused of being a Scammer & Dishonest in a watch deal at Watchuseek. The Admin at Watchlords will not take sides in this but present the posts about this found on the internet. It is up to the readers to decide who is telling the truth or if there are grey areas in this transaction.

Suggested preventive steps in a watch transaction: 1. Real time photo of the watch with a current newspaper and object such as a fork. 2. Pay by credit card or a payment service such as Paypal if you use a credit card. 3. Preferred payment method would be USPS Money Order or a Bank Check 4. Ask for references unless you know the person 5. Ask for a written guarantee on the watch and refund policy 6. Make certain a TZ rating system is used to describe watch 7. Ask for insurance and delivery confirmation to be used. 8. Ask for papers or receipts 9. Use caution on watches that are common replicas such as Omega, Rolex and watches over $500.00

I guess welcome to the Fourm...now what happened? Why do you want a refund? *Update* I am sorry for your situation but this matter does not involve me and I do not want to get

involved with this thread I am on this site to enjoy my hobby and I will be backing away from this thread. I wish you the best of luck with your dilemma. __________________ If it don't make dollaz...Then it don't make sense!

Nice condition for a pre-owned, I did a little clean-up on the clasp and it looks great now. Thanks to CharlieB, he convinced me to give the SS bezel a chance and I love it. __________________

That's the final straw! I'm looking into a bone reduction on my wrist! If Omega would make a Seamaster in a 44mm I'd be all over that! I honestly don't think I could remove that watch. That would be it. DONE. that is such a gorgeous watch,......wear it in good health my friend. __________________

Kayfaber Scammer & Dishonest Just letting you all know this chap is as dishonest as it gets, read the thread and see the part that says "I want to disclose everything" Unfortunately for me, he lied. ALL THE SERIAL NUMBERS WERE GROUND OFF THE WATCH CASE AND THE CASE WAS OPENED AND THE SERIAL NUMBERS WERE GROUND OFF THE MOVEMENT TOO. ITS A STOLEN WATCH FROM SOME POOR CHAP OR A BOGUS GRAY MARKET AND THE PAPER WORK HE MENTIONS WERE SOME COPY MACHINE PAPERS SAYING JOE BLOW WATCH REPAIR, NO NUMBERS NO DATES NO ADDRESS, NOTTA NOTHING. He will not respond to pm's/e-mails. His name is Pete Conlon from Sanford, FL CAVEAT EMPTOR

I felt compiled to comment on this tread since i was the one who left POS feedback on the Omega Great White from Kayfaber. All of my serial numbers are intact and match all of omega cards. Yes, that is a remote possibility, but I did contact him regarding this and said "do the right thing and refund my money and I'll send the watch back and keep my mouth shut" He will not respond!!! and he could have been vinticated by doing the right thing and chose not to. So here I am stating my case to the public, nothing more, and nothing less, He had to have known by the bogus paper work, no cards, actual printed papers from Bogus watch works, and no serial number on the lug, you don't have to pull the bracelet to see it, it's very very small, but its there in plain view, when I looked after I recieved it and it wasn't there it promped me to open the case for further inspection, and it wasn't there either, hence the pics.

Re: Kayfaber Scammer & Dishonest I've been out of town for several days, so I will respond now. This watch came in on a trade from another WUS member about two months ago. My watch guy (a second generation Omega dealer) took a look at the watch after I received it, the watch was ok by his standards. I'm not aware of any numbers being removed from the watch. I included all the paperwork I got with the watch. This was an honest deal with a remorseful buyer airing his sour grapes. I resent the statements that I lied, for all I know this watch was "damaged" after it was received by the buyer or these pics are of another watch entirely. I have never scammed a buyer at this forum or any other. I suggest the buyer seriously rethink any ideas about appearing at my home or around my family as he will be met with unfavorable results including handcuffs and a trip to the local jail. Due to the threatening tone of the buyers PM I was advised not to respond. Sorry you are unhappy, but everyone else with whom I have dealt has been satisfied. Your defamation and threats prevent me from contacting you via PM. I will post no more information regarding this matter. Pete

I saved all of our correspondence, I would be glad to post them aswell, Sour grapes? You bet I do, you took almost 1300 of my money for a useless watch, under false pretenses. You know it. and I know it, and everyone I know will know it too. I send you PM's regarding this and you refused to answer, I gave you the chance to vinticate yourself and you refused, you kept the money and sold your integrity along with it. All you need to do is return the money and get your watch back and call it a day.

I'm a little dissapointed you didn't disclose every serial number there is on this watch has been ground off, the only way to authenticate is by the dial and rotor everything else has been removed and repolished, why didn't you mention this??? Nice looking watch but it's basicly worthless without any verification numbers. What do we do now?? I think you can do the right thing and refund my cash and I'll return the watch and I will keep my mouth shut about this unfortunate transaction. You could have let me know this upfront. A very dissapointed buyer. here it is 2 weeks after I wrote that "threatening PM" as he calls it, he still has not replied or resolved this matter, classy guy huh?
