DOA Invicta ocean Reef Black and rose bracelet.

Received an Ocean Reef watch from Shop and the watch was not keeping time and the second hand was not moving, And before you ask, yes the crown was in and screwed down. The chrono was working fine but the actual watch was not advancing in time. I was going to return it and thought I remembered a watchgeek smacking his on a table or something and got it going. So I hit it hard against a mouse pad so as not to scratch the watch and it started working. I figure if it stops again I will return it if it is in the 30 day window. I just did not want to hassle with Shopnbc about the return shipping and all. This is not meant to be an invicta bashing thread but just an informative thread and use the information how you like. Some of you love Invicta regardless of what problems exist out there and there is nothing wrong with that, There are some of you out there that are extremely upset with Invicta too __________________

That sucks! Send it back. Why risk a dud watch. Seems like these issues are becoming more common. but thankfully Shopnbc has a decent return policy, and there are enough cool watches to replace with. Best of luck ibuyinvictas View Public Profile Send a private message to ibuyinvictas Find all posts by ibuyinvictas Add ibuyinvictas to Your Contacts #3 Today, 02:24 PM Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Gastonia North Carolina Posts: 331 Real Name: Joe

I'm glad to see the kickstart smacking got your Ocean Reef working correctly. Hope you have many good years of wear time out or it. __________________

It's a shame you had to smack the watch against your mouse pad to get it working. Hopefully, it will still keep on working....Roy

Sorry to hear that, it's best to send the watch back in that shape. __________________

Sorry, I wouldn't trust the bump it hard method. I bet that movement will stop as soon as the 30 days are up. Do yourself a favor and send it back. __________________

I think you may be onto something. With all of the high pressure leak test and gasket tests they talk about yada yadq yada. The one arrea they fail to bring out in testing is shock and vibration. This is a basic area that may be the source of a lot of their headaches especially with hands not moving or falling off. Maybe they should(Invicta and their subs) enact some sort of vibration testing in their final QC process? Seems logical, but that does not translate to course of action.... __________________

its a shame that any brand new product has to be smacked on the table to get it working. seems a little primitive to me. __________________ Did you see that? Do they all got hedges like that? Do they?
