Reserve Pro Diver Plating question.

There has been a lot of discussion going on in the forums regarding the lack of plating on the inside of the center links on the two tone Reserve ProDiver, both the SW200 and the 7750 versions. Many people expressed concern over this and felt that it cheapened the look of an otherwise expensive looking watch. While I am not one so concerned about this, I have to wonder why or how the inside of the center link was not plated. It wouldn't seem to be an oversight, because the only way to avoid plating the inside of the link would be to mask it. Certainly the labor involved in doing that has to be more than the cost of the gold to plate the inside of the center link. Do you know or can you find out why Invicta chose not to plate the inside of these center links on these Reserve watches?

Not an oversight, most 2 tone watches, by most brands are done like this. __________________

But Invicta plates the inside of their more inexpensive two tone non Reserve ProDivers. So why not their reserve watches? If not plating the inside is done on purpose, what is the

purpose? Can it be a cost saving measure? If so, why aren't they doing it on their cheaper watches? Sometimes it is done, sometimes it is not. Depends on the process being used that day in the factory, especially if all goldtone bracelets have been made, and possibly the center links for those bracelets are being used. You should direct this question to Wing, he can give you some great insight. __________________
