I am EXTREMELY ******ed off they are not bringing this watch back ! What are they going to do , scrap them. How stupid is that. By not bringing them back they are acknowledging they were a debaucle to the

naysayers. Bad decision in my opinion.

I would purchase one if they brought it back. I will not pay up for someone selling it on eBay at an inflated price, though. __________________

I think it's the name of the watch, not the watch that's the problem. If someone was shopping for a watch online and typed in "Invicta DD speedway" they would get a lot of negativity. While the D&D issue is over, the Internet probably won't forget for a long time and it would be bad advertising to lead potential customers straight to complaints on-line. I bet there will be a watch exactly like it but with a different name.

I would order multiple colors if they brought it back, problem-free. I will not pay thousands to someone on eBay or the like. __________________

Per Eyal, the DD will be incorporated in a different case/style from the Speedway Elite (wish I could find his post). Paraphrasing his words - this was PARTIALLY done to "reward" those who STOOD BY Invicta by giving them a more limited piece. From my standpoint - I'm satisfied.

I did stand by Invicta, just like you did !, and took a lot of crap from other WGs for it ! I am just P***ed at myself because I traded mine, because the Invicta posts said the Speedway was being pulled for repairs, NOT permanently pulled. I made a great trade for my Speedway, but I was counting on being able to get another based on the threads from Eyal via Jim S. I would never have made the trade if I knew I was going to be misled. I also do not believe for a second that they are just going to sit on or "eat" 500-800 of those Speedways because they want to reward the loyalists. Something smells fishy. I guess all I can hope for is they show up somehow on WOW or something.

Very True, Lee! IT was stated that they were going to be repaired. It seems in this instance "repair" means a new configuration. My feeling is this will also be a very limited run and it appears that the "repaired" won't be showing up on DOD sites. But I hear you! I would have loved to picked up a 2 tone. Like the saying goes "Hind sight is ALWAYS 20/20!" Enjoy the weekend. Quote: Originally Posted by Leed24 I did stand by Invicta, just like you did !, and took a lot of crap from other WGs for it ! Unfortunately if you said that, it was not conveyed to us customers here at WGs. If the Speedway forum was not deleted, I could show it to you. I truly appreciate you and your products Eyal. Not that you needed it, I even defended you and Invicta vigorously during the Speedway debate here. However now I feel like I am left empty handed, because I will not be able to get a new one due to false information given to us on this site. I will live, just extremely unhappy right now. That Speedway was my favorite watch BY FAR, and now I can't get another from Invicta. Leed24 View Public Profile Send a private message to Leed24 Send email to Leed24

I elected to hold on to my two-tone even though it needed repair. I felt it was unique enough to warrent waiting out all the hub-bub to the very end before making a decision as to what to do. Even went so far as to get an extension on my return date from SNBC CS. I think it payed off. It will be the center piece of my collection now. And no, I still haven't sent it in for the needed repairs. Other things in my daily life take priority. unclefixit View Public Profile Send a private message to unclefixit Find all posts by unclefixit Add unclefixit to Your Contacts #32 07-20-2010, 06:23 AM

I sent my silver in for repairs on "day one". Got it back in 6 weeks. Invicta did what they said. The watch seams to be fine. It will take some time for me to be comforable with the watch. I wear 15 SAIII's as work watchs. I am wearing the dd daily for a while to make sure everything is "ok". I realy like the watch, it is becoming my faverote. forehire View Public Profile Send a private message to forehire Find all posts by forehire Add forehire to Your Contacts #33 07-20-2010, 02:35 PM

It's interesting you wrote that. I actually saw an ebaY listing with a narrative similar to what you wrote above. It actually said, "Here we have the famous, or shall we say, infamous ..." and it went on to describe the Speedway Elite DD. I believe the watch did sell. It's a good looking what; especially the two tone version. Too bad about all the circumstances that surrounded many of them. Congrats to the proud owners of working ones! Doctors ordered those with heart disease or high blood pressure to avoid them completely. Just two cans a day of drinks with caffeine and taurine were shown to have an impact. They caused blood pressure to rise significantly, even in healthy people. Most energy drinks contain caffeine and taurine – an amino acid found in protein-rich foods like meat and fish thought to make people alert. Both affect heart rate but little is known about their impact on blood pressure. Researchers studied 15 men and women who didn?t drink any other caffeine beverage for one week. They measured blood pressure and heart rate before and after drinking two cans of an energy drink. Within four hours, their blood pressure and heart rate rose by between five and seven per cent. This increased by almost ten per cent after seven days. The study was unveiled at the US Heart Association conference in Orlando, Florida. e.morton@the-sun.co.uk accuracy or content of member comments. * Most recent * Highest rated * First to last Satninder tracey, does your baby have wings? or is it just a can of redbull! 0 0 9:27AM, Aug 16, 2008Satninder Anon82 Some people may not think red bull is on the same level as vodka. 15 chocolate bars or 15 jam and peanut butter sandwiches is not deemed as on the same lines as vodka. the person made a mistake, leave them alone. am fed up of people criticising... Those who are faithful reap the rewards of their faith. Meantime, I believe you mean different colors, on the same Speedway... and perhaps, more watch models with the DD movement incorporate into them? Any way you put it, this is a most desireable movement, which can be inserted into many different designs, to make a VERY nice combination. Thank YOU! __________________

I ditched both of mine when they went all coo-coo on me. Don't regret it for a minute. Sure, it would of been nice to have gotten a few that were not defective, but I didnt, and I did not feel as if it were worth stressing on it. Shame, they were sharp looking watches. Such is life though. I turned the two grand back over in to another (non Invicta) timepiece purchase and all is well. __________________

I missed out on those Speedway DD's, but let me tell you one thing, even though they had some problems, I would be willing pay a good buck to get one, especially the silvertone with blue hands. I may not pay 3000.00 for one but

maybe up to 1500.00. They are sweet timepieces for sure. I for one will be buying the new version when Eyal releases it in October. __________________

Honestly? ... I do ADMIRE the DD Speedway. I wish I could pull off 50 mm, but alas, I can only pull off 47. So, personally, I am going to put the newest, biggest., DD Speedway in the "Whatever" category. Don't be jealous, but I've got black MOP in my automatic Speedway, all courtesy of ETA 2894...

Humm, well, I guess I'm one of the ones who, according to EL, "stuck with it" ... ...

... and now have a VERY "Limited Edition" ...

...

Does that mean they'll be removing the DD from the current movement and then reattaching it to a new movement and then putting back in the original speedway? Like I said I need some explaining as I'm probably way off. sandman20 View Public Profile Send a private message to sandman20 Find all posts by sandman20 Add sandman20 to Your Contacts #47 Today, 04:14 AM

I got the silver with blue hands and it hasn't lost a second. Anyone who got a good one should keep it because it sounds like it is more limited than the original number. I have No. 640/800 Silver dial & this is the replacement for my 1st No. 461/800 which had the same problems with the hands. I can only say, that the same day I got the bad one No. 461, I contacted the Shop & bought No. 640 & returned No. 461 & as others have said it is my favorite watch & keeps the best time of any watch I own, including 3 Maurice Lacroix's. As my buddy A.J. says No. 639 little bro to No. 640 "This will be with me until they bury me!". BTW- I hope that is a long, long time from now. lol __________________

I sent my silver one in for repair to Invicta the day I got it. The second hand fell off. I got it back from Invicta in less than 60 days. It seams to work very well. It will take me some time to get my condenfance about this watch up. But I must say for someone that has 15 SAIII's for daily wear, I really like the DD Speedway. forehire View Public Profile Send a private message to forehire Find all posts by forehire Add forehire to Your Contacts #52 Today, 08:42 AM

I decided to keep mine and I'm very glad that I did. I have the silvertone execution and I haven't had any problems with it to this point, and it keeps excellent time as well. It will be nice to see what the new executions will look like. __________________
