Speedway DD?

Hello all. I have a couple questions on the speedway dd. I know when it came out it was going to be hotter than fire. It seemed like it more like back fired on some people. I really wanted to purchase one but didnt have the funds. My brother actually did he got a silvertone version and it is immaculate. It keeps great time and functions flawlessly. I looked on shop and found they are sold out. Was this watch a huge mistake? Are they going to be rare? I have looked to find one on ebay and they are over $1600 a piece. Thanks guys

The Speedway DD did not sell out. Eyal took them back to where ever, for repair. Hopefully they will be back soon. I traded my Silvertone/Silvertone and I want a new one.

I would like to see them come back, but not sure if they ever will. Would like to get one in my hands. __________________

There's a Speedway DD sub-forum dedicated to discussion of this watch that has more information than anyone would every want or need. I'd suggest you start there. EDIT: I see the OP's thread has been moved to the proper forum. __________________

Ok that makes since. I really wanted a combat version and just couldnt pull it off. I thought they were taken back but with that said will they be cheaper than what they were sold for before. They im sure put some bad tastes in peoples mouth and thats not good. I just didnt see it with that type of movement that it would be so horrible with quality control. I agree with Strutn45. The Dubois-Depraz 2021 caliberation is an elite Swiss Movement (2892-2 base) that I wanted to purchase before--but I wanted a watch design I would often wear. Other versions that I considered were either very, very expensive and/or just expensive and/or used and I was not going to spend the asking money for a watch that I "sorted of liked" with this movement. The Invicta SS/blue (No.538--my watch) is truly a beautiful watch. It looks much better on your arm than the photographs. *** If you get the chance I would get one. surferman View Public Profile Send a private message to surferman Find all posts by surferman Add surferman to Your Contacts #13 Today, 05:10 AM

I got the silver tone and I love it. I am amazed at the accuracy of the watch. Only slight problem was, one pin fell out near the case so I took it and had a pin put in. Invicta advised eight weeks to replace. trigger

I wanted mine so bad, I sent it to Invicta to be repaired. Hand fell off. It will be a great watch when it returns. forehire View Public Profile Send a private message to forehire Find all posts by forehire Add forehire to Your Contacts #15 Today, 06:42 AM Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 185

The watch is "Smokin Hot". Best watch in my collection. When and if they are re-released, I'll be ordering the all black if the price is right and the value pays are available. I have the all silvertone with the blued hands. If you get a chance to get one, jump all over it. toolman View Public Profile Send a private message to toolman Find all posts by toolman Add toolman to Your Contacts #18 Today, 01:18 PM
