Invicta story of the year- 2010

So when 2010 has come and gone, and we reflect on Invicta's many contributions to it, what will be the #1 story? The success of the SA III? The intro of the SA IV? The return of the Scooby and 360? How about the Coalition Force?

Or will it be the mold problem? Or will it be the DD Speedway? The year's not even half over, and we have a lot of options already.The #1 story could be the way an issue was handled, or a new system put in place to reduce the number of problems.

Whatever it is, I'm hoping it will be something positive. What do you think?

Remember, the year's not over, so you can't just look at the year-to-date. Look down the road, get out your crystal ball, take a shot.

I believe the number one story so far, and most likely for all of 2010, is Invicta's need to improve quality control. Too many watches, including their best the "Reserve" had too many defects. __________________

The DD Speedway, mold issues, Coaltion Forces, Scooby, and 360 won't even register. The DD Speedway issue is hot now but will eventually fade. I've already forgotten the others.

The SAN IV, like the SAN III, is here to stay.

Last week I was researching the Invicta Speedway after getting one from the Sunday Run. I found a 9 year old review of it and in the opening paragraph the author talks about Ivicta's QC issues. The dial was slightly off and in turn would affect the accuracy of the Tachymeter. His arguments were similar to ours, but in the end he said he paid $110 for it and it was a good value at that price. In other words he will put up with it since it is at the low price point.

I think it will go down as a year of missed opportunities. I am a bit bias, but I was hoping (and still hope for) an affordable SAS auto by way of an SW200 movement.

The new SAS that was previewed looks interesting but safe. I have to give a nod to the SAN III. I love mine and the line will definately stand a positive for Invicta. __________________

I think the DD Speedway will eventually ge highlight of the year. Eventually, all of the limited edition Speedways will be sold; hopefully the majority will be fine; those that are defective will get fixed and any initial disappointments will be turned into smiles for those patient enough to get theirs fixed.

I think 2010 will be remembered for the SAN4, Speedway DD, Coalition, Venom and SAS. The problems with the Reserve pieces will be thought of but as long as all issues are taken care of it will pass. The deal of the year has to be the surprise of the quartz Venom kit dropping down to, and staying under, the $300 price point. No one expected that. And deals are what Invicta collecting is all about.

As for new products, the various kits, and of course the SAN4 are milestones. Let's hope the DD Speedway and other disasters of 2010 are soon forgotten. Also let's hope there are no more disasters in store for the rest of 2010 Eric. __________________
