Diamonds In The Invicta II Women's Classique Boutique Watch Are Not Real Diamonds?

First let me start off by saying I'm not trying to be negative, but truthfully reporting the facts of what actually happened. On June 29th I purchased my wife the TTV - The Invicta II Women's Classique Boutique Quartz Diamond Accent Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch J179607 in the TwoTone:

About a week ago she noticed one of the diamonds were missing on the bezel, just after the 3 o'clock hour marker. I doubted if this was covered under the warranty, and if it were it might be cheaper to have the diamond replaced by a local jeweler. Today we brought the watch to a local jeweler for the replacement, and he told us the diamond accents on the watch were not diamonds but crystals.

It wasn't a big deal for me because I only paid $119 for the watch, but my wife was disappointed. The thing is I don't know if the jeweler was correct and they are real diamonds, or are crystals like he mentioned. I might get a second opinion one day from a second jeweler just to clear up the matter. Was wondering if any one else who purchased the watch had a similar experience? __________________

I'd definitely get a second opinion. If you purchased the watch with the understanding that they were diamonds then it is definitely worth finding out. __________________

Well Jim's post was there for a whole second posing a question. The answer is: "Invicta II Women's Classique Boutique Quartz Diamond Accent Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch - J179607" __________________

I am looking into this, I didn't see the J number up there when I first posted. I would highly suggest going to another jeweler for a second opinion, and bring back some sort of written appraisal to provide proof of this. This is a serious accusation, and if true, we would need some proof to investigate further. __________________

Jerry, I also recently bought a Diamond Classique which I gave as an anniversary present to my mother-in-law last month. Please do us all a big favor and take your watch to another jewler and get a second opinion and let us know what you find out. __________________ "He who marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Just locking this for a couple hours, only because people tend to ONLY read the initial post, then reply without reading the thread and seeing answers/resolutions. This will force everyone to see and read the response. I will re-open this up later tonight...... __________________
