Limited to 113 Pieces
Limited Edition AutoPilot In honor of the race car that we jointly sponsor with iW magazine (see the article in the current, June issue of iW). This year our car will be a black Camaro with the Skull & Tridents that we designed especially for our race cars (last year's car, shown in the mag article, and will continue the same artwork on this year's car). The Camaro will be car #113, hence we'll make 113 pieces of this AutoPilot. Movement: The new Miyota 9015 (hacking, decorated, 3-hand, 28,800 VPH, 24 Jewels) Case & Bracelet: Fully polished Dial: Skull & Tridents done in what I call "Liquid Chrome" (even though the dial artwork looks more white in these pics). Hands & markers using SuperLuminova BGW9 BL. Appears white, glows blue. Available: October 2010 Price: TBD First sample photos (please excuse my crappy photo skills, but wanted to show you this sample!):

Well, it'll be a bit more expensive than buying a standard AutoPilot on the bracelet, mainly because of the added expense of the 9015 movment, and all the polishing work. But it's not gonna be crazy expensive. But we haven't nailed the exact price just yet. We may also make one more that comes in a fully black case & bracelet, for those of you
who don't go for the fully polished bling look. :>) Dimensions are same as on the standard AutoPilot: 44mm x 44mm, with those nicely curved lugs that come off the side and the bottom of the case simultaneously for uber comfort. G __________________

Here's a few shots from last year's car.... If you get a chance, do check out the article in this month's June issue of iW. :>) This year's car, the camaro, is being painted black and also being stripped down and getting the roll cage installed. We'll add the Skull & Tridents in either white or silver. I do the artwork on the car and serve as Team Owner (which means I have to smoke big cigars and have girls in bikinis dripping off of me... ha!). Team NFW in the garage, working late:
Some team members at the track (Gary and Stu from iW, and our mechanic, Speedy):
Gary from iW in the driver's seat, with Stu getting him prepped for his laps:
Me, adding a little extra custom work to the Skull & Tridents:
My son, Tas, I think this was during warm-ups or pre-qual or something:
Loads of fun! Can't wait to work on this year's car! G __________________

Awesome design! Love the curved lugs, might this be applied in newer versions of the AP? Thanks for sharing the pics of the car and team. __________________

Hmmm... Can't say I have much use for Camaros, but I like the race team watch for sure. Sooner or later there will be an NFW in my collection. __________________ Drink The TEA, My Friends!

Actually, this uses the same case design as the current AutoPilot. In the photo below (AP model 07208) you can see how the underside of the lugs are nicely curved, and simultaneously come off the sides and the bottom of the case:

That's so cool George! I saw all this in my current iW mag and was going to start a thread. How'd you end up getting Gary involved? If people don't know, Gary is the Editor-in-Chief of iW magazine.....and he still hangs out with George! Kidding buddy! . __________________ OG580

Hi Scott, Long time, no chat, brutha! :>) Gary's been a big fan of NFW for a few years and really loves what we do and how we do it. LOL, I think he views me as some sort of bizarre anomaly in the watch biz.... Anyway, we get together for lunch & drinks every now & then. He's a cool guy who's got quite a watch collection (yet frequently wears his NFW's, I'm happy to say!). We put our heads together on the race car sponsorship and had a blast working on it together with the rest of the team.
Hope all's well with you! G __________________
