Now "This" is service!

A week ago or so, WOW offered the SWI Limited Edition V7750 Chronograph at the unbelievable price of $898.00 and I jumped on one. It arrived on Monday and I began my pre-unwrapping ritual of timing the watch. It seemed a little stiff when I wound it up, but I chalked that up to it's being new. Last night when I went to wind it again, the rotor on the V7750 spun at high speed with each winding motion - that's just not right! So this morning at 7:39 a.m. I sent Alex at SWI an email explaining the situation. At 11:02 a.m. I received this response:

Bradley, You should exchange the watch. The rotor spinning rapidly is a problem with the movement. I have forwarded your email to the Customer Service supervisor and she will be in contact with you soon in regards to the prepaid shipping label. Thank you Alex Arenas At 12:37 p.m. I received this email. Mr. Landin, I am sorry about this. I will issue a return label to your email address today. Please print it, paste it to your package and hand the package to any UPS carrier in your area. Thank you, Roxana Barrera Elapsed time from first contact - 5 hours. Shortly thereafter the prepaid label arrived via email.

Now that's service!!!

That's good news Brad. I would be freaking out if I specnt that much on a watch and it wasn't operating at 100%! Were you in contact with SWI or WOW? Or are they one and the same? I don't own any SWI timepieces so I really don't know. __________________

decided to go that route. __________________

Great to hear Brad. I know the watch you're referring to - it's a beauty, and one I hope to own one day. Looking forward to pics of the replacement. __________________ Bullwinkle: "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!" gman66 View Public Profile Send a private message to gman66 Find all posts by gman66 Add gman66 to Your Contacts #6 Yesterday, 07:42 PM

Brad I had the same issue with an Accutron Gemini from that great deal a while back, from WOW. When winding the crown on the V7750 the rotor would spin freely and fast. I agree they are timely and efficient with returns. __________________ John

I have used SWI customer service on two occasions. Once to replace a lume dot that fell out of the bezel on a Jacques Lemans sport chronograph and once to adjust the movement on an Swiss Legend Ambassador. The lume dot actually took longer than the movement adjustment because they had to wait for the part, but both services were completed with complete satisfaction and with no cost other than minimal return shipping. __________________

I agree WOW/SWI's service is world class. But interesting that I have that same winding problem with an SWI LE 3 hand and also had to send my SWI LE 7750 in to them for too stiff of a winding stem. Someone else posted that their rotor spun when winding their SWI as well. They are great watches, but seem to need a tune up after acquiring them. Enjoy that new 7750 - what color did you get? bearralph View Public Profile Send a private message to bearralph Find all posts by bearralph Add bearralph to Your Contacts #9 Yesterday, 08:25 PM Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Northern CA Posts: 17,665 Real Name: Brad

Now that's service Brad!

It's weird that you have to spend a lot of cash with WOW in order to get this kind of service. My poor Neptune is still on their workbench undergoing tests to prove it's defective. Bad luck for me I guess. __________________ I'm a murderer because I kill time! I had the same Probelem with an Invicta S1 Touring and we had to do this twice cause the second one didn't work either, but they called when they said and were very polite. Sending me Three watched and sending them back 2 took a total of 10 days including the weekends, but I got mine the next day cause I live in Florida. I didn't even get mad cause it wasn't thier fault and they replaced them right away and now excuses it was something u did. chitown View Public Profile Send a private message to chitown Send email to chitown Find all posts by chitown Add chitown to Your Contacts #15 Yesterday, 10:24 PM

Nice one Brad, main thing is not to freak out over a watch, even expensive one's cause the cs's are going to get it right. Some are able to faster than others. I own quite a number of timepieces purchased under the SWI umbrella. I have only had problems with but three of them and all were handled with the utmost professionalism and the turn around time was as good as it gets. Also the fact that they are so easily accessible to you if there are any questions is a major plus. Brad, your experience doesn't surprise me at all. Kudos to SWI and Lior's staff once again. __________________ Ignorance is bliss. That's why I try to know as little as possible. Life is short. Buy as many watches as you can! Regards, Arnie
