it has been well over a week since we were told we would get a ststement from invicta so far not a word i would like to know your opinion on what this has done to your trust and respect for invicta i personally will find it almost impossible to believe anything they say about there products the fact that they say nothing is just about addmitting guilt and to make no responce to over 23.thousand geeks shows no respect for there customers would like to hear your thoughts rich

While I agree with what you posted, in all regards, I also believe that there is the possibility of this issue slowly falling by the wayside. If enough time goes by we will forget about it, the details will have been lost and it won't be remembered until the next issue pops up, but at that time that will be the crisis/mix up/supplier problem/wrong part etc. that is being dealt with and this will be pushed to the side.

Discussions and questions are not always about "beating a dead horse", sometimes they are, this time I just think geeks would like a response. The DD issues are well over a month old, at first there was no problem, the problems that were occurring were not out of the norm, we were only hearing about them because we geeks "talk" to each other and have the benefit of being in this forum; to a whole sub-forum being dedicated to the problem and then the module issues coming to light.

Looking at just this particular problem (not any other Invicta problems) from the start to where it has evolved to warrants us members keeping a civil discussion going.

Junior Member New Geek "Bandwagon" concerning the Speedway

I had to revisit this "Bandwagon" concerning the Speedway DD ... I have had mine over a month since I had it repaired here in the Dallas, Tx area, and it keeps time within 1 to 2 seconds. I still am waiting for "the other shoe to drop", and have some other problem develop. I still don't trust the manufacture process, since my watch had a "screw" missing from the movement. I will keep it and if all fails ... it will be a good "paperweight"!

My dear wife of almost "fifty years" gave me a blue Stuhlring Imperial Tourbillon for Fathers Day ... what a wonderful capper to my vast watch collection, ... my "Grail".

I'm becoming apathetic with the delay. I didn't purchase the DD Speedway, so it's not a big concern. I have; however, had issues with other Invictas purchased in the latter part of 2009 and in 2010. I would guess that the economy has caused reduced revenue for Invicta, just like other watch companies and retailers in general. In order to improve the bottom line, I suspect that Eyal has looked to reduce the cost of the product, unfortunately, at the cost of quality. My earlier Invictas work perfectly, the hands don't fall off, the chronos function, and the bracelets don't come apart. Not to change the subject, but I see lots of Androids in my future unless Invicta rediscovers it's identity.

Didn't Jim post some very detailed options about how to repair or replace the watches? The plan is in place. If you are that concerned about the actual statement, it would appear that your buying decision(s) for the future has already been made. Even if they did screw up, they have instructed folks what to do to take care of the problem. I can understand the need for discussion on this topic but WOW do we really need to try to make the same point over and over again? We are taking up valuable band width. I believe you're right. It was, at the very least, implied publicly that 1) the D-D module was to blame for the faulty Speedways and 2) D-D was "working directly (with Invicta) ... to identify and correct the issues." But how the parties "make up" is inconsequential to most of us. And my guess is that what really matters to everyone -- and why there has been such an outpouring on interest on this topic -- is how forthcoming Invicta will be and whether they'll go "above and beyond" to make this right.

Members here have made it crystal clear that they have already made up their minds to either support Invicta on the issue or not to support Invicta because of this issue. A statement at this point would only start a new debate on the truth and reliability of every word in the statement. I know it's lawyers. If you have read some of my other post on some of the other closed threads that is what I stated. Now I feel Invicta will not respond and let it pass by.
