SA III 3.4 - 2 for 2 defective?!
I purchased the 3.4 collectors edition back when they were on the shop for $340 something. When I got it I discovered (thanks to my wife http://watchgeeks.net/showthread.php?t=104361) that the second dial was loose and moved sporadicly with the second hand. This was number 034 and was returned as defective for an exchange. I received the exchange (number 029)last week and didn't really have time to do a thorough inspection until tonight. At first I thought I was tired and my eyes were giving me problems but after getting out a very bright LED flash light to observe the second dial under, I have found that once again, the second dial is not stationary. Unlike the first one, this one moves almost every tick of the hand. I have found that it does stop once in a while because the second hand switches position between pointing at a second mark and landing in between the marks occasionally. So I'm asking all 3.4 owners to please look closely at their watch and see if the dial is moving on your watch as I can't believe that I'm so lucky as to get two watches with the same situation. __________________

Sorry to hear that, it's really bad when you get 2 that are defective. __________________

Well, at least I'm not loosing my mind.... This one is certainly better than the last one as it is pretty consistent. The first one was bad for jumping all around to include the second hand. If this is truly the design of the piece I'd sure like for someone "official" to weigh in and say so.... __________________

Can't see a reason to design it like that, but it sounds like they all do it, just like the Venom Bezel has a slight up and down movement.
