Regarding our TOS...everyone really needs to read it!

Because of events that transpired this evening, I am going to make another post in regards to our TOS (Terms of Service) and very, VERY strongly urge that everyone take a moment to read them. The link to them can be found here: http://watchgeeks.net/showthread.php?t=7273 Today, a post was made by a long term member. It was removed. A PM was sent to that user explaining that the post had been removed, why it was removed and under what conditions it could be re-posted. Instead of dealing with the issue as it was, this member decided to take the note from a member of the admin team and send it to 25 other people. Some on the forum and some off of the forum. This is a violation of our TOS. It states (in part): Quote:

If the Watch Geeks Moderation Team feels that a user has "crossed the line" one too many times, they will issue the user a warning. This warning may be done via a PM or, if serious enough, may result in an immediate "Yellow Card" and then followed by a PM. This warning will not be discussed on the Watch Geeks public forums nor shared with other members very PM or email - violators will be subject to an immediate loss of their account. (further, see above DO NOT FLAME THE STAFF). About a month ago, I made a very blunt post that we (the admin team) were going to be strictly enforcing the TOS. We (the admin team) ment what was in that post. Again, everyone needs to go read the TOS. As a result of what happened, this member is no longer with us. Not because of the post that was made, but because of the violation of the TOS. If the admin team has an issue with something that is done on the forum, in needs to be worked out in a prescribed manner. We believe so strongly in the fact that the TOS should be read by everyone that I will shortly be installing a modification to our forum that will require that everyone read the TOS and agree to it before they can post further on the site. So, I urge everyone to go read the TOS now and if you have any issues or questions, get them posted to the admin team now so that we can address them. Thanks for your time...did I mention that you should go read the TOS right now? __________________ Michael
