Ok, I'm all over this. I'm sorry this keeps happening. I know it's no consolation, but thanks to your post, and 2 long threads over at the other forum... people are FINALLY beginning to listen to my advice. Joined: Feb 2005 Gender: Male Posts: 500 Location: Minnesota

I wanted to abolish, or at least reduce advanced order over a year ago... but now they realize this week that it is a major issue. I will not let up. But then again... I only have so much power as a host. -Jim

Alain, Sorry I'm just now getting to this. I sent the context of your post to some VP's and they would like to look further into this. Joined: Feb 2005 Gender: Male Posts: 500 Location: Minnesota

Can you give me your info so that I can forward it to them to contact you? Thanks. -Jim

BDWF did cut a deal with SAH, which is why they forced Jim out. Now the Membership is dwindling every day, but Tim thinks he is the new star!? Oh well. Get any nice new watches lately? If my Renatos ever get here I have a Stallion and a Vulcan inbound. Picked up a great clearance deal on a Swiss Auto S1

Rounder and a BIG lefty chrono. Also got the S. Coifman 7750 in gold and the Renato OTV in red. SOMEBODY STOP ME! Bruce Back to Top

Hi Alain:

Yes, Jim was quite hurt about what happened. It was all about $$$'s and a lot of the members were quite upset, although not on as personal level as me. He is enjoying his spare time though; a premium lately with SNBC's new "webcasts". Michael (Meijin) and I are on the phone almost every day. He will be coming over soon, as well as Buddaman. Michael was also slapped in the face for no good reason. He forwarded me a PM received from one of the owners that you would not believe! Me, I am just trying to find a new place to talk, learn and enjoy watches. BDWF has gone in another direction; their "pie-in-thesky" dreams of being purchased for big bucks is nothing more than a fantasy. Hey, I love Disney World; this November's trip will be our 113th to the parks. Still, I DON'T LIVE IN CINDERELLA'S CASTLE! The "other" Forum management think they can! Darth Neo has become quite a "celebrity" over there. As far as I am concerned, I hope he stays there! Thanks for the welcome and information. BRUCE Back to Top

Hi Koimaster:

Didn't want to Post BDWF on the open Forum, but it appears we both have found a more friendly and open venue for our interest.

After what was done to Jim Skelton on the "other" Forum, I cut them off. Jim and I are close personal friends, an issue we both keep pretty much to ourselves. Never-the-less, when you screw my friends, you screw me. To have Jim referred to as a "freeloader" after all he did for the Members in terms of inside information, great photography and help with their individual watch problems...oh well, you get the drift! Thanks for the welcome. Bruce Back to Top

Thanks, that means a lot. You were banned?? Do tell... I had no idea. I thought you just slowed down over there and spent more time here. Joined: Feb 2005 Gender: Male Posts: 500 Location: Minnesota

Michael bowed out on his own. He was getting crapped on in PM's by the 'owners' and his opinions didn't jive with theirs. It appears that they are bulking up the site with sponsors in order to sell it off for a profit later on. Michael did not agree with that philosophy I don't think. I'm not too crushed really. I really love being on the forums since that is "where I came from" but in all honesty if allows me a few extra hours a day with my family and that's important. Back to Top
