I was going to write a long winded post with quotes of he said this, he said that but we really dont have a "Invicta said" . True Jim posted saying this is directly from Eyal and I believe him, which leaves Jim open for Eyal saying Jim misunderstood. Invicta should issue a statement. I dont care if Eyal issues it or someone like a VP or PR issues a statement. Since it was recently discovered that Invicta/Shop representatives claims that Swiss=Swiss Made were not true, the prudent course of action may be for someone who physically has one of the Speedways, to send it to an appropriate D-D representative to have the D-D movement checked for authenticity.

That would be the best way to know beyond a shadow of a doubt. Much more so than relying on anyone else's claims IMO. __________________

can't judge someone based on seeing him on tv but his companies lack of respect for it's customers says volumes about who a person is. And finally to say that you are away on vacation while your company is being slammed is really not what I wanted to see. Isaac, Your post was right on and I appreciate how you put yourself out there. Lots of people slam and complain (me also at certain times) while being to emotional and not thinking about it. I gave Invicta many years of dedication and everyday someone see's me wearing a watch and talks to me about them. But as a consumer I feel let down and I have to deal with that. It's about what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes a deal may look to good to be true and it is happening to Invicta. Dubois Dupraz may suffer for something they had nothing to do with but Invicta will skate through this without damage. Unfair.

The statements made by Invicta were on SNBC. It will be up to Eyal to get SNBC off and say they didn't know or have any involvement in this conspiracy. The ball right now is in Eyals hand to clear all from statements made concerning the issue at hand.

I also agree. I don't want the watch at the price I paid if it's not a real DD movement, not at any price, even if it functions properly at this time. This whole scenario with these watches shows what's going on. It's damage control, when the fiasco with all of these movements having issues came up it's a weekend so not available to address, then deny, then blame it on UPS (how stupid do they think we are, only Invicta watches get bounced around in shipping), then a weasley half hearted "OK, if its not working you can send back to fix", (here the CEO taps fingers on desk calculating how many will drop in his lap and the rest hopefully after warrantys out), now after all this BS flung at us its a repeat performance! I remember when Eyal said the blue finish on MY ceramic pro diver went all the way through the watch...It did not. BUT, I think he thought it did. He does not manufacture and design these watches, he runs Invicta.

It is quite conceivable he does not know with complete confidence the path these movements took on their way into the Elite Speedway case.

To date, there have been no issues with my collection. I own 14 Invicta historical "grails" in excess of $1,500 each and have had 8 of them in for 5 year service. I go to a former Rolex watchmaker and Tourneau watch repair guy who does repairs locally and according to him, "they acquit themselves nicely compared to anything on the market in the 3-4K category." In fact, it has only been until recently that I have ever heard anything negative from even higher-end jewelers. I was glad that I'd cancelled the DD/Speedway. I had a funny feeling about it. I ended up getting a SAS 7750 that I'm gaga for. I feel that I did the right thing. Gotta say that until this DD mess is straightened out there will always be a bit of doubt even with the 7750. It would be a good PR move if Eyal could talk about this on live TV to directly reassure long time customers.

I find it hard to believe that Invicta would go to TV and sell a movement that is a fake, but it could have come from a seller who purchaced from DD so if that is the case then whomever installed the movements may be why the were not working correctly, If that is the case is it really DD problem? This is going to be interesting, I did not purchace one so I can observe from afar

Many have sent and received emails regarding this.

I guess I believe it is real in the same way that you believe what your jeweler told you about your movement being 100% genuine. As I have stated to you in the email I received I went to the Dubois-Dupraz website and then found the contact us information and sent my request directly to the listed email address. As you can see from the first response I am not the only one whom the listed email was for. Sometimes a deal may look to good to be true and it is happening to Invicta. Times are really tough and I love my hobby but I will be very cautious and no way will Invicta be in my future plans...

Thanks Michael, I appreciate your opinion of my post. I am sorry to hear about your issues with your watches and I do believe what you say about your jeweler. I sincerely hope that it is an isolated incident and that you will be given a replacement that contains the authentic movement that you ordered. The ramifications of it being anything other than that are to much for me to speak on. Good luck in getting your issues resolved.

I got your point, but you made it in such a way it denied the reality of doing business today. Virtually all business communications, negotiations and frequently final agreements take place in the "cloud" with hard copies circulated after the fact, even those are done by PDF and not by mail.
