We have increased our membership year on year and into the future we aim to gain National and International recognition for Waterford Institute of Technology Kayak Club as a force to be reckoned with. Competing against some of the best-funded and facilitated Colleges and Universities in the country, W.I.T.K.C. has risen through the ranks of the kayaking scene here in Ireland. Its main aim is to increase competitiveness by investing in competition standard kayaks and gear as well as investing in our members by increasing the amount of sessions, training and most importantly enjoyment of the sport. Every year a number of National ranking events take place as well as fun events, like the Big Boat Bonanza, Flesk Jam and the Wet West Wild Weekend. Contact:

Societies in WIT The diversity of societies in Waterford Institute of Technology means that every taste is catered for. Aside from academic learning, interacting and socialising with other students can relieve the undue stress which college can bring. Get involved with a society in WIT and broaden your horizons, take time to experience new activities and have the opportunity to confine your extra time to meet new people and enjoy a new learning experience. With a host of societies from academic, cultural and political areas, there will be something to suit and interest all those seeking new challenges. Throughout the year there are a number of society balls, which take place including Social Care, Architecture, Law, Engineering and the famous Business ball.
