F ALL ARTS GUIDE 2023
A guide to Central Florida and Tampa Bay’s must-see shows, performances and more this season
Jeremy Williams
Where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday we were assembling our 2023 Spring Arts Guide and here we are now presenting you with our 2023 Fall Arts Guide.
Well, you know what they say: Time flies when you’re having fun and, thanks to all the entertainment offerings from concerts and festivals to Broadway shows and exhibits, there has been no shortage of fun to be had throughout Central Florida and Tampa Bay this year. Luckily for us the fun continues through the rest of the year and into the next.
With so much art and entertainment to enjoy, one could get all twisted up and confused about what to see, where to go and when to see it. Which is why we have created this handy, dandy guide to help you keep all your shows organized.
This guide covers the Space Coast, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota and all the amazing spaces — both big and small
— in between from the start of September 2023 through the end of February 2024. With so many amazing theatres, venues, concert halls, arenas and stages in our local area, it is impossible to fit everything, but we have put together quite a comprehensive list for you to check out.
All listings are accurate as of press, but please be aware that all venues and showtimes are subject to changes, postponements and cancellations. Also, keep in mind that venues continue to add shows to their schedules well into the fall and winter seasons, so be sure to continuously check in with your favorite places to find out what else might be coming to their stages. We have included contact information and website addresses within the listings and encourage you to review event information before purchasing tickets and heading to the venue. Now fall back, relax and enjoy Watermark’s 2023 Fall Arts Guide.

AMWAY CENTER ORLANDO
P!nk is one of the biggest artists in the world. Since her debut album, “Can’t Take Me Home” released in 2000, she has sold over 60 million albums, had 15 singles in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart — with four making it to No. 1 — and has sold out arenas and stadiums all over the world.
In her nearly 25-year career in the public eye, this icon has released nine studio albums, leading her to be nominated for 21 Grammy Awards, winning three, and 21 MTV Video Music Awards, winning seven, just to name a few of the hundreds of awards and nominations she has under her belt.
P!nk’s most recent album, “Trustfall,” was released Feb. 17 and was met with a positive response from both critics and fans.
Her shows are the stuff of legend, featuring high-flying acrobatics, stunning visuals and passionate vocals from one of this generations most recognizable voices, and she is bringing her tour to Florida with only four shows in the state — two of which will be at the Amway Center in Orlando Nov. 18 and 19.

AN EVENING WITH DAVID SEDARIS
OCT. 13
David Sedaris, with his clever and satirical views of the world, has become one of the world’s leading and most respected humorists. He is a world-renowned author who is best known for his collections of essays including “Holidays on Ice,”
“Me Talk Pretty One Day,”
“Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim,”
“When You Are Engulfed in Flames” and “Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls,” all of which became New York Times Best Sellers.
An Evening with David Sedaris is the author’s current tour following the release of his newest book, “Happy-Go-Lucky.” This unique show — featuring Sedaris reading excerpts from his book, sharing stories and engaging with the audience — is an amazing way to see the best-selling humorist in an intimate setting.
This one-night only event, taking place on Oct. 13 in the Dr. Phillips Center’s awardwinning Steinmetz Hall, will include an audience Q&A and book signing.

OCT. 4-29, AMERICAN STAGE, ST. PETERSBURG
American Stage kicks off its 46th season with “Indecent," the perfect fit for Tampa Bay’s longestrunning theatre company. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Helen R. Murray, this mature play “recounts the fiery controversy that a lesbian kiss in the 1923 play ‘God of Vengeance’ sparked.” At its core, American Stage writes, it is a love story.
“A brothel owner’s daughter and a sex worker discover passion on stage, and our more-thandisapproving characters are what make the rest of this play, well, indecent,” its synopsis reads. “A deeply moving and hopeful play inspired by the true events stands as a grounding work of Jewish culture, we hope you’ll see what all the talk is about.”
Murray describes the production as “a love story wrapped in a conversation about art, censorship and the power to persevere.”
Tickets go on sale Sept. 6, kicking off a season she says is “wildly entertaining, inviting, bold and rings clearly with an invitation to connect.”

RUTH ECKERD HALL CLEARWATER
‘Tis the season! Celebrated entertainer Darren Criss will make his Clearwater debut just in time for the holidays.
“Since bursting onto the pop-culture landscape from Fox’s hit show ‘Glee‘ over a decade ago, Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Darren Criss has embodied the kind of kaleidoscopic artistry that’s entirely uninhibited by form or genre,” Ruth Eckerd Hall describes the show. Here, he’ll perform hits from his recent holiday album, “A Very Darren Crissmas.” Ruth Eckerd Hall notes that the tour is “his first-ever full-length project and includes a wildly eclectic collection of songs from big band Christmas classics to novelty tunes to modern-day folk-pop ballads.”
The longtime LGBTQ+ ally will dazzle with his signature vocals while he “showcases his artistry, delivering both thrillingly unpredictable moments and a timeless sense of Christmas magic,” they add. Tickets are on sale now.
