FROM JERRY DEMINGS
Greetings: It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the 33rd Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival!
The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival has been entertaining art enthusiasts and newcomers since 1992 with unique theatre, music, and dance performances. The festival's independent theatrical performances provide an immersive cultural experience that connects and engages the community like no other. I applaud the local, national, and international artists for showcasing their talent, creativity, and artistry to our residents. I also extend my gratitude to the dedicated and committed Fringe staff and Board of Directors.
Orange County is proud to be one of the top destinations in the world for visitors. We are known for the finest hospitality, exciting theme parks, arts and cultural attractions, sports venues, and one of the largest convention centers in the nation. It is my mission to create a community culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusion. The arts foster a vibrant economy and quality of life that are the hallmarks of our community.
Once again, welcome to the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. I wish you all the best for a successful event!
Sincerely,
Jerry Demings Mayor of Orange CountyFROM BUDDY DYER
On behalf of the City of Orlando, I am proud to welcome you to the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. Our city is proud to host the longest running and one of the most impactful Fringe theatre festivals in the United States. Since 1992, the Orlando Fringe has showcased cutting-edge performers and innovative works in our community.
I have enjoyed attending many Orlando Fringe performances over the years and love how the event brings nonjuried, accessible theatre, art, music and dance to our community, while supporting the artists who are performing. Just like our community, the Orlando Fringe is inclusive and welcoming. This includes Kids Fringe, which we proudly support through our City of Orlando Mayor’s Matching Grant Program.
For three decades, the Orlando Fringe has helped make our city a more vibrant place, while bringing residents together to experience the arts in unique settings. I am glad that the Orlando Fringe is a part of our community and I hope you have a wonderful time enjoying a variety of performances.
Sincerely,
Buddy Dyer Mayor, City of OrlandoFROM EMILY BONILLA
Dear Esteemed Guests and Beloved Community Members, lt is with immense joy and anticipation that I extend a warm welcome to you for the 33rd Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, a spectacular event set to unfold from May 14th to May 27th, 2024. As we gather for this exceptional celebration, we embark on a journey that highlights the enduring spirit of creativity, independence, and community that defines the Orlando Fringe.
As a County Commissioner, it is my mission to foster a community that promotes inclusivity and creativity. Recognizing and celebrating local theater arts productions is more than just an appreciation of the performing arts -it is a powerful acknowledgment of the magic that only the arts can bring to our community. From my experience, the arts serve as a mirror, reflecting the diverse tapestry of our lives and offering a stage where voices and stories that may otherwise go unheard can take center stage.
We are privileged to celebrate the oldest Fringe Festival in the United States. The Orlando Fringe has a storied history of championing independent artists across a diverse spectrum of live entertainment. What sets the Orlando Fringe apart is its commitment to artistic freedom and accessibility for artists and audiences alike. From thought-provoking theatre performances to visually stunning art displays, from kid-friendly shows to free outdoor concerts, there is truly something for every age and taste. One of the most remarkable aspects of the Orlando Fringe is its unwavering support for artists. The festival proudly donates 100% of ticket sales back {o the very individuals who pour their passion into each performance.
In closing, I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Orlando Fringe team for creating a space within District 5 for the celebration of the creativity and community that this festival embodies. May "Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival" inspire us to witness the magic of independent artistry, and to contribute to the flourishing arts community that defines our county.
Your Commissioner,
Emily Bonilla District 5 CommissionerFROM ROBERT F. STUART
Welcome to the Orlando Fringe Festival! It is my honor to provide a personal greeting for the longest running theatre festival! As Orlando is a city for everyone, Orlando Fringe is a cultural arts experience that has something for everyone! I am also glad to have the chance to thank all those who work tirelessly year-round to make sure this festival continues to make its mark on our Great City. It is only because of their dedication, hard work, and perseverance that we all have a chance to enjoy such a wide variety of talent in such an accessible way.
Thank you for attending and ENJOY THE SHOWS!
Warmest Regards,
Robert F. Stuart City CommissionerWELCOME LETTERS
On behalf of the Board of Directors I’d like to personally welcome each of you to the 33rd Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. It’s an exciting time for the Fringe as we continue to grow and remain adaptable, motivated, and responsive to the needs of our patrons, sponsors, artists, donors, staff and volunteers. Our organization is embracing a time of change in the ever-evolving world of performance art. We will continue to bring inspired and creative people together to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of entertainment during our annual festivals as well as our year-round theatre at Orlando Fringe ArtSpace.
From May 14th to the 27th you will be able to select from over 100 shows within 13 venues at Loch Haven Park, Fringe ArtSpace and other venues throughout the city. Whether you are a first time Fringer, or a seasoned veteran please take advantage of all the fabulousness that is available. Spend time in our Visual Fringe market where you can talk about and buy art, take the free shuttle to other venues, and visit Kids Fringe which is always free and is available on the weekends during the festival.
By far, my favorite part of Fringe is talking to the artists and the many patrons who attend the festival. There is no place better to do that than our Matt McGrath beer tent on the lawn where you can enjoy great music, food and drink. In this time of change I challenge each of you to see a show that is outside your wheelhouse. Fringe is the place to embrace those opportunities and try something new.
While you are at the festival make sure to thank a volunteer or staff member and welcome our Executive Director, Scott Galbraith to his first festival as our leader. The Orlando Fringe is a great place to perform, watch and study art. What are you waiting for? Get out there and enjoy all that we have to offer!
Doug Davis, Board President Orlando International Fringe Theatre FestivalFROM THE INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Welcome Fringers!
Having just joined the Fringe in February, I am honored - on behalf of the incredible Fringe team - to say: Thank you for joining us for the 33rd Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival!
I was eager to join the Orlando Fringe team for many reasons, not the least of which is its reliable unpredictability. That’s part of what makes it a role model among Fringe Festivals worldwide. This Festival is never the same twice! There are always new artists to discover, giving us insight into cultures and lived experiences with which we may not be familiar. And we - like you - are always eager to explore new venues and see Orlando through the eyes of both local and visiting artists. It’s the innate curiosity of artists and you - our guests - who give the Fringe its character, and we thank you for being courageous!
These two weeks of the Festival are truly packed with exciting, new, and innovative shows that we trust will entertain and uplift you. Perhaps, they’ll also lead you to ponder and re-think. You may even find new artists or art forms to follow. Regardless, we hope they’ll prompt you to chat with and get to know the artists and other guests.
As the saying goes, “it takes a village.” In truth, Orlando Fringe takes a city, and we’re in a great one. Actually…we’re in a great region, where people eagerly dedicate their talents, volunteer their time, and donate their treasure in order to make the arts affordable and accessible. And two such people are my immediate predecessors, Alauna Friskics and Paul Oppedisano. Each helped shepard this year’s Festival to fruition, have left their imprint on the organization, and deserve a special ovation!
So, get your buttons or badges ready, grab your tickets, and let’s see some shows! ENJOY.
Scott Galbraith, Interim Executive Director
Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival

FRINGE 2024 SPONSORS & PARTNERS
WHAT IS ?
In one word, Fringe is “UNIQUE.” As the longest running Fringe theatre festival in the United States, Orlando Fringe is founded on being 100% UNCENSORED! You never know what the artists will say or do. 100% UNJURIED! Performers are chosen at random by a lottery. The artists have full control over their performances. 100% ACCESSIBLE! Ticket prices range from FREE TO $15, which is a range that allows anyone from any walk of life to experience Fringe. 100% INCLUSIVE! We are an environment where everyone is treated with love and kindness. We welcome anyone regardless of their age, gender, color of your skin, religion, who you’re attracted to or anything else. Finally, 100% OF ALL TICKET SALES are returned to the artists. You, as an audience member, decide how successful a show is by purchasing tickets.
WHY DO I NEED A BUTTON?
We return 100% of all ticket money to the performing artists. The buttons, which are a one-time purchase, cover our operating costs such as theatre rentals, equipment, supplies, lighting, this very program and more. The button is also a badge of honor. Wear it proudly to show that you support the creativity and freedom that comes with Fringe.
WHAT SHOWS SHOULD I SEE?
First of all, don’t stress it. Read this program and check out the show descriptions. Pick the ones that sound good to you. You can also talk to the artists. Talk to people in line. Talk to someone while enjoying a drink at the beer tent. Check out all the show posters. Read the show reviews in Orlando newspapers.
HOW MANY SHOWS CAN I SEE?
How much time do you have? Check out the daily schedules and plan your day at Fringe. Talk to people on the lawn, in line and all over town. Take a chance and see something unknown!

Once the doors to the theatres are closed, you will not be admitted and refunds will not be issued. Please remember, all money spent on ticketed shows goes directly to the artists. SUNFLOWER LANYARD
In an effort to make the Orlando Fringe Festival more accessible to our patrons with hidden disabilities, we are proud to recognize the Sunflower Lanyard! The lanyards will not get you into the venues early or late but they will help our staff and volunteers recognize that you may need some assistance without having to disclose the nature of your disability.
You may pick one up free of charge before the festival by visiting the Orlando Fringe offices, or Fringe ArtSpace. While supplies last.
PLEASE CALL OR MESSAGE AHEAD SO WE KNOW TO EXPECT YOU. For more information, please visit the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard (@hiddendisabilitiessunflower) Facebook page and visit their website at HiddenDisabilitiesStore.com.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Orlando Fringe is a happening place with lots of things going on! We want you to make the most of your experience but we also want you to be healthy. Here are some simple tips to keep you fringing safely!
DRINK WATER!
It may sound simple but we all know how hot May is on the Lawn, so always stay hydrated. Each of our vendors have water for sale and there are water fountains throughout Loch Haven Park and in the venues.
WASH YOUR HANDS!
We all know that germs can be spread by dirty hands, so please keep those hands clean by either washing them, using the hand washing stations on the lawn, or using some hand sanitizer.
WEAR SUNSCREEN!
Walking from venue to venue, hanging out on the lawn and standing in line are all things that may happen in direct sunlight at the Fringe. Keep yourself safe from the harmful rays of the sun with some sun block.
EAT SOMETHING!
We have plenty of vendors on the Lawn for you to find something tasty to eat! Remember it’s best to eat three meals a day for your wellbeing.
RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS OF HEAT ILLNESSES SUCH AS HEAT RASH, HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE.
If you ever feel overheated, dizzy, nauseous or weak, find a staff member and they will assist you. We want everyone to be safe in the heat! Also recognize signs of heat exhaustion in your doggie companions. Be aware of excessive panting or difficulty breathing, dehydration (dry nose, visible tiredness, excessive panting and sunken eyes), excessive drooling, fever, changes in the color of their gums (bright red, gray, purple or bluish gums), lack of urine, rapid pulse, muscle tremors, lethargy or weakness, vomiting or diarrhea, dizziness.
WE LIKE TO
PRIDE
OURSELVES ON BEING A SAFER SPACE FOR YOU.
Orlando Fringe is committed and strives to be a respectful, safe environment free from harassment, violence, discrimination, bullying and abuse. All community members should be treated with respect and dignity. We provide opportunities for everyone to contribute and participate in all events and activities whenever possible. We will not tolerate participation in activities or behaviors that discriminate on the grounds of race, gender, age, marital status, religious beliefs, citizenship, mental and physical abilities or sexual orientation.
COVID-19.
While we all know that COVID-19 hasn’t been as prevalent in the last year, it’s still a part of life. Fringe is a large gathering of people, in sometimes small spaces, so we encourage you to take any precautions you feel necessary and be mindful of risks. We continue to monitor the CDC guidelines and will make decisions based on their guidance. REMEMBER: if you feel sick, stay home! If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home until you are testing negative, even if you might not be showing or experiencing symptoms.
FRINGE Donors & Sponsors

WORKSHOPS
Fringe ArtSpace is a multi-theatre complex in Downtown Orlando's vibrant Church Street Marketplace where Orlando Fringe serves the arts community yearround.
Since 1992, Orlando Fringe has provided a space and opportunity for artists to emerge and showcase their talents and craft. As we’ve grown, we’ve worked to bolster artists from all backgrounds and varying skills to strengthen the arts community of Orlando. ArtSpace allows us to pursue that mission all year long in a uniquely Fringe way.
When the City of Orlando approached us about occupying ArtSpace, we leapt at the chance. It was an
opportunity to expand on our past achievements and develop artist-focused programming and experiences that build upon the amazing arts scene that exists in Central Florida in a year-round venue.
First and foremost, ArtSpace is a place for artists and has been created with their input. We worked to make ArtSpace a hub for Orlando’s art community where you can view traditional theatre, participate in learning experiences, and where you’ll find affordable rehearsal and performance space. ArtSpace provides a place for art makers and art lovers to gather; where they can be involved in the arts on every level. ArtSpace is more than a venue, it's a valuable resource of knowledge and support for the Orlando arts community.
For more info on upcoming events at ArtSpace please visit fringeartspace.org.

This inaugural festival promises to amplify the voices of local LGBTQIA+ artists while fostering inclusivity and understanding within the Orlando community.
Scheduled to take place from June 27th - 30th at Fringe ArtSpace, Orlando Out Fest will showcase the incredible talent and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community with a lineup featuring 12 extraordinary local artists. From thought-provoking plays to crazy musicals, breathtaking dance performances, and more, attendees can expect a mixture of creativity that reflects the rich tapestry of LGBTQIA+ experiences. Visit our https:// www.orlandofringe.org/orlando-out-fest for more information.
Ticket Info
Ticket prices range from free to $15. There is a $2 fee added to each ticket that goes directly to the ticketing company. Artists will keep 100% of the base ticket price.
Artists determine the length of their shows. Most Fringe shows are 60 minutes long. No show exceeds 75 minutes.
BE ON TIME
WWith more than 1,000 performances presented over the 14 days, the schedule is very tight so performances will start on time. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before your show starts to avoid missing it. We're pretty sure the artists and other audience members will appreciate that! All ticket sales are final. No exchanges or refunds unless the show is canceled by the performer.
TIP THE FRINGE
Rounding is cool! When you purchase your tickets you will have the option to round your total to the nearest dollar and donate that amount to Orlando Fringe. Every penny counts so thank you.
Shows may sell out in advance so it is best to purchase your tickets early for any show that’s a must see. You can present either an image from your phone, a printed or emailed tickets for admission to a performance. And don't forget your button!
NO TICKET EXCHANGES ALLOWED!
ADVANCE TICKETS
You may purchase tickets online at orlandofringe.org, or in person at the Orlando Fringe offices from April 19-May 12, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.4 p.m.
PASSES
If you have a 10-pass or 25-pass, you can redeem your tickets on our website or in the special services line at our main box office inside the Lowndes Shakespeare Center.
PATRONS PICK
The top two selling shows from each venue will be declared Patron’s Pick winners and receive a bonus performance on May 27. The winners will also be celebrated at the Closing Ceremonies.
ACCESSIBILITY
All Fringe managed venues and BYOVs are fully accessible; however, some sitespecific venues have limited wheelchair access. For detailed venue accessibility information, please visit orlandofringe. org/accessibility.
CHILDREN
Our festival is accessible and inclusive and we leave it all up to parents with small children to read the program and show descriptions. Except for one thing -- 18+ means 18+. We like to say that Fringe has shows from G to OMG. Orlando Fringe does not dictate or set ratings for individual shows. The ratings and warning are set by the individual performers. We do not censor or jury any of their content.
DISCOUNTS are offered at the discretion of the performer. Orlando Fringe does not control the cost of the ticket or the discounts offered. Read the individual show description for a list of which discounts are being offered.
Be sure to check out Kids Fringe on Saturdays and Sundays of both festival weekends for free shows and activities geared toward the little Fringe fans.
Children 12 years old and under are not required to have a festival button but they must have a ticket. Babies in arms are permitted but we ask that you be respectful of the artist and other patrons and leave the theatre should your baby begin to cause a disturbance. We are sorry but readmission to the theatre will not be allowed once you exit and a refund cannot be made.
Shows are rated all ages, 7+, 13+ and 18+.

Want to bring your show to Fringe 2025 ?
The Orlando Fringe is unjuried, uncensored, accessible to audiences and artists, inclusive to everyone no matter what may make them unique, and returns 100% of the ticket price to the artists. Orlando Fringe selects shows by lottery. Applications go live on our website from September to November. Applicant names are placed in a rotating drum during our live lottery event in December. The order the names are pulled dictates the order of acceptance.
