Here at Waterside Food Services Ltd, we are constantly on the hunt for new, exciting and super tasty products! As a result of this, our product range is growing larger and the variety is constantly expanding. In 2022 our product range grew by over 10%!
So what better way is their to showcase all our new and exciting products than to put them all into a fun little booklet?
With the new year comes new health regimes and healthy eating, which is why a lot of our new lines are veering to the healthier side with a few sweet treats to accompany all the Christmas chocolates. Throughout this issue, we have also included some fan-favourites that are too good to miss out on!

Celebrate Veganuary
With the new year comes new health regimes and healthy eating, and with healthy eating comes the change to a healthy lifestyle. When people think of a healthy lifestyle, a lot of people think of veganism and therefore Veganuary.
'Veganuary' is a global organisation which encourages participants to adapt to a vegan lifestyle for the month and potentially beyond In 2022, more than 629,000 people from 228 countries and territories took part in Veganuary. This number breaks all previous records.
To celebrate Veganuary and help you accommodate customers choosing to participate, this booklet has included a selection of our vegan meat alternatives, along with vegan desserts and buffet ideas.
These products have all been tried and tested both by us and by customers before being brought into our range, and we can all agree that they are delish!

Starting in 1994 (however having changed names since), Speciality Breads are passionate about producing the best artisan bread, and have stuck to their roots by keeping many of their best selling breads remaining hand finished!
Sustainability is vital in creating a product that the public love and so Speciaility Breads are working on several sustainability inspired projects, including becoming a B-Corp and having an entirely Vegan certified range.
Currently over half of their full range is vegan and this percentage will only continue to grow over the following years until 100% is completely vegan suitable. Not only this, but all of their products are already nut and sesame free!

SPECIALITY SOURDOUGH ROLL

Recipe Idea
INGREDIENTS PROCESS
FOR THE CORN CAKES
2 grilled corn on the cobs
150ml oat or almond Milk
55g polenta
40g corn flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 level tsp dried chilli flakes
½ tsp paprika
1 bunch of chives, chopped rapeseed oil for frying
8 thick slices of Speciality Sourdough bread
FOR THE FILLING
2 small ripe avocados, halved, stoned and diced
3 tbsp vegan mayo
1 lime, juice only 225g baby plum tomatoes, roasted Romaro peppers, roasted 2 handfuls baby spinach leaves washed and finely shredded
For the rocket aioli simply whiz together 5 tablespoons of vegan mayo with 75g rocket until just smooth, season to taste.
To make the corn cakes combine the dry ingredients (flour, cornmeal, baking powder, seasonings in a mixing bowl and season well.
Add the cut corn kernels, chives and milk to the flour mixture and mix well. The mixture will seem runny but will firm up on standing and as they cook. Preheat a skillet over medium high heat and then add about 2 tbsp of rapeseed oil.
Using a dessert spoon and press the batter into the pan. Using a spatula, quickly flatten to form patty shapes.
Allow to cook on one side for approx. 2/3 minutes until golden and then flip over to cook on the other side.
Place on kitchen paper to remove any excess oil and set to one side.
To make the panini heat a griddle pan until medium hot Place 4 slices of bread on board and spoon over avocado mix. Top with the shredded spinach, tomatoes and lay over two corn cakes. Top with the roasted peppers and sandwich with remaining bread.
Griddle two panini at a time for approx.3 to 4 minutes each side pressing down firmly after turning.
Serve straight away with the rocket alioi

Here at Waterside Food Services Ltd, our product range is constantly growing! Since we gained an additional dry storage depot in August 2022, we have been able to add more ambient and disposable products to our range and we still have plenty of space left to fill!

With over 35 years of experience, Pierre Koffmann is one of the bestowed few that have been awarded a triple Michelin star during his time at La Tante Claire. A purveyor of provincial French cuisine, Pierre was awarded the ‘Laurent-Perrier Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the Tatler Restaurant Awards 2014.
The initial objective for Koffmann's was to offer UK restaurants the best quality British potatoes, but the business catapulted to becoming an overnight success!
Since launching in 2018, Koffmann's Speciality Foods has launched a range of new projects designed to achieve its goals. Koffmann's has added fresh carrots and parsnips to its range and plans to further expand to include olive and rapeseed oils, prepared vegetables, and condiments.
Koffmann's Speciality Foods was established in 2018 by Simon Martin and his sister along with Claire's husband, renowned chef Pierre Koffmann.Within the four years of concept, the Koffmann Fresh Potato range has established itself as the UK chef’s number-one go-to brand for potatoes.
The Food Heroes are already supplying the crême de la crême of the restaurant trade, including the likes of Berkeley, The Ivy, Harrods, Marco Pierre White, and Gordon Ramsay. Along with this, they have also begun to supply some of the country’s largest pub and restaurant chains, with the Koffmann brand regularly being used on menus as a symbol of high quality.
Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge often promotes his use of the Koffmann Potatoes; having promoted them online and suggesting Koffmann potatoes to be used in his chip recipe featured in 'Tom Kerridge's Proper Pub Food (2013)'
Here at Waterside Food Services Limited, Koffmann's Washed Blue Chipping and Roasting Potatoes 20kg joined our range in August 2022 and were an immediate success! Following this, just over three months later, the Koffmann's Les Grandes XXL Chips 19mm joined our range in November 2022.
In 2023, we plan to expand our range of Koffmann's Speciality Foods and continue to provide delicious and high-quality potato products to our customers.
