WANT TO LEARN Take time to produce accurate, neat and tidy work. Always look after and take pride in your book. Presentation: Personalize / individualize your work but write neatly, space work out, do not be afraid to use a new page where appropriate, use colours or highlighters to identify key words / phrases, tables and drawing should be done in pencil then coloured, date all work, underline all titles - question words need question marks, check work carefully for mistakes. Always treat school / other peoples property with respect. Keep to the prep deadlines. ARRIVE PUNCTUALLY to all lessons and BE RESPECTFUL at all times ALWAYS TRY YOUR BEST – it will be appreciated and rewarded. HOME IS A PLACE TO LEARN TOO – read around the subject and watch educational programmes on TV as well as research topics online. LISTEN CAREFULLY to the teacher so there are fewer mistakes. If you do not understand something put up your hand and ask – Teachers cannot read minds so please help us to help you. If you know something that may help the teacher and your fellow classmates, put up your hand and share your experiences. TEACHERS CAN LEARN FROM YOU TOO. In this class…… • • • • •
We all have different starting points. We can all learn from one another. We can all make progress. We will value our mistakes because we can learn from them. We will choose tasks that challenge us because this is how we develop our skills and understanding. • We will keep trying even when we are finding a task difficult because this is how we make progress.
ENJOY YOUR WORK AND GET INVOLVED! GEOG2
