GCPD fundraiser helps charities

Officer Chris Lowrance accepted the donation from Gaston County Police Department’s “No Shave November’ and ‘Don’t Shave December’ annual fundraiser on behalf of Blue H.E.L.P.

The selected charities this year were Cancer Services of Gaston County and Blue H.E.L.P. (honoring the service of law enforcement officers who died by suicide). A total of $3,131.00 was raised, which provided each organization with a check for $1,565.00.

GCPD shared, “Thank you Blue H.E.L.P. and Officer Lowrance for the awareness you bring to officers who suffer, ensuring they are recognized, their family members are supported, and that their service to the community is honored.”
