KM Intermediate School selects students that exemplify courage

Each academic team at Kings Mountain Intermediate School was tasked with selecting one student who exemplified the meaning of COURAGE.
The following students were selected by their teachers for demonstrating COURAGE. Students were rewarded with a certificate and treats from KMIS administration. We appreciate their hard work and outstanding character!
Red Cross honors local community heroes
This March, the American Red Cross is honoring those who make its mission possible during the 80th annual American Red Cross Month celebration — a national tradition that began in 1943 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the first Red Cross Month proclamation.

In true GFWC NC fashion, Betty Sue exemplifies the Collect for Clubwomen in the phrase " may we put away all pretense and meet each other face to face, without self-pity and without prejudice... may we never be hasty in judgement and always generous."
The city manager also expressed his desire bring a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff and that everyone should look for that in the upcoming budget.
In addition to the departmental changes, Palenick announced that the city is instating a review process for all employees. Each employee will be reviewed after their probationary period, and then annually at their anniversary date.
