History of Forestry The Taiwan Forestry Bureau’s sustainable conservation policy was initiated in the decline of the excessive deforestation of the Japanese colonial period. After lush mountain sides were disfigured in the name of development and extension, a sense of awareness to mend those once glorious forests arose. In addition to operating the logging themselves, the Forestry Bureau enforced policies to balance the loss of natural resources from earlier deforestation. The respectful attitude on environmental preservation and its attention is second to none. Millenniums of natural beauty are being restored to its once respectful former glory. C

Design concept Economic growth pay the price, the invisible mass and the world lost a part of them, no longer respecting nature and disregarding the preservation of the natural balance and peace that allows us to coexist with nature, animals and plants. However, the development of Taiwan's forestry took the limited forest resources for achieving the prosperity of economy during the colonial era, due to A-li mountain "Endless Treasure" involving tracts of forest. Simultaneously, emphasize more the rehabilitate the forest and maintain the balance between demand and limited resource achieving the sustainable of ecological environment.

Connect the roof of the ferry terminal to a sky pass which connects to the exit of subway. We call it “ the cycle of the Han River”

Integrate view and circulation: one wing of the building pull outward to maximize the view; the other will be pushed inward to connect the paths.

The roof will be tilted to maximize the interior view and the sun light on the roof top.

HORIZINAL Yeoui-Naru (ferry terminal), a gentle building which minimizes environmental effects, integrates architectural design and structural performance by using steel branching structure. This linear building maximizes the scenery of the Han River by replacing the columns with two structural cores, which provide structural support and architectural aesthetics. The glass ceiling of the cores offer diffused sunlight which naturally brighten the interior spaces, thus reducing the cost of electric lighting. While at night, artificial lighting creates an ambient exterior luminescence, resulting in an iconic and unique landmark.

The platform for outlook is separated from the end of the main building. Above the floating platform is the tilted roof, which is covered by metal cladding with mirror coating. It reflects the movement of Han River and enhances the feeling of embarkation. The glass ceiling allows sunlight to pass through, providing diffused glare-free daylighting to the interior environment which comes with numerous benefits, including energy and cost savings on interior lighting. The building is a leaner space which provides convenient access to outdoor area. It is arranged in two parts - an office area and a visitor area. This arrangement allows the different programs to be separated and provides better circulation for the users. The vegetated rooftop corresponds with the building structure, and serves as a viewing deck which provides impressive views of the surrounding city and the Han River.

Fluid Seoul fulfills the requirements of survival and function by integrating a sustainable system including habitat for birds, bio-filteration zones for stormwater, and energy saving plans for the building. Corresponding to the Bam Island, the habitat for birds is located at the north-west of the park.

The park uses advanced biological water infiltration techniques for clarifing the water quality before drain. Considering the stormwater and flooding issues, the sloping area within the circular path is a bio-filter zone where the rectangular stones traping contamination, stabilizing the soil and urban runoff will be filtered by the water tolerant (FAC) native species.

Initial we put foward in grasshopper, we try make sense of it could be interactive and functional in scale with the combination of bamboo, here are the two different types of geometry we try to create cortex it can let people surround in different position and make the space more comfortable.

Before confirming our design projext, we tried to change different parameters to see the change of the models. Through this process, we can see the different density and direction of bamboo.
