Happy Fall! I hope your student had a relaxing fall break It is difficult to believe that we are mid-way through the fall semester Student Development remains committed to serving your student through a variety of opportunities to grow outside of the classroom
We had a very successful fall break service trip serving our local Greene County community, where students were able to volunteer with a variety of community organizations Please encourage your student to explore the Service Tab, located on myConnect, for additional information regarding service trip opportunities Our Student Activities Board offered many exciting events during Homecoming week and continues to offer both on and off-campus opportunities. Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Just a friendly reminder, residence halls/on-campus houses will close on Wednesday, November 27 at noon and re-open on Sunday, December 1 at noon for Thanksgiving Break. Classes resume on Monday, December 2.

The Pathways Center team, in collaboration with Student Development and Athletics, has contacted each student with a D or F on their midterm reports. If needed, students are encouraged to connect with the Pathways Center (pathways@waynesburg.edu) for academic support as soon as possible
The Pathways Center is hosting a Scheduling Workshop on November 6 to help support students who are scheduling for the first time - and as a refresher for any student who needs it
More than 200 students attended the Criminal Justice and Social Sciences Job & Internship Fair on October 23. This event was hosted in collaboration with the Criminal Justice and Social Sciences Department, and nearly 50 employers were recruiting at the fair
The Writing Center concluded its annual Banned Books Contest at the end of October. The winning submission will be posted as the featured Buzz Words article this month. Eberly Library is seeking student feedback as we consider expanding our popular books collection Students are encouraged to stop by the library to participate in our featured poll and tell us what they enjoy reading!

All Hands and Hearts is an organization committed to effectively and efficiently addressing the immediate and long-term needs of global communities impacted by disasters All Hands and Hearts arrives early for first response and stays late to rebuild schools and homes in a disaster-resilient way. Many of us watched the destruction of Hurricane Helene and have felt a call to help. Join Waynesburg University and All Hands and Hearts on a relief trip January 2-12 in Asheville, North Carolina. Volunteers will be assisting teams on the ground in the Asheville region.
Space is limited. Anyone interested in participating will need to register here and pay a $100 nonrefundable deposit. The remaining $350 will need to be paid by Friday December 20. Cost covers all transportation, lodging, and food.

Greetings from Waynesburg University Office of Student Engagement The fall semester is flying by and soon your son or daughter will be studying for semester exams. You can help relieve some of their stress by sending a Fall Care Package. And we can help you by putting the Care Package together. The link is now available for online ordering, or you can follow the instructions below and mail your order. Students who receive a Fall Care Package will receive a long sleeve T-shirt and a reusable WU Tote Bag filled with a variety of late night study snacks. Here is an example of what may be included:
