Waynesburg University helps students develop academically and professionally on the foundation of faith. Faith is an integral part of the University’s mission, and students have the opportunity to discuss theory and application of faith in their professions.

Growth in Christian faith is a significant part of the Waynesburg University mission, and students are offered opportunities to grow through Chapel on Tuesday, Upper Room on Sunday evening, discussions in classes, Bible study groups, mission trips and other learning experiences.

We encourage students to build relationships within our Christian community.

CAMPUS

As a primarily residential campus, Waynesburg University offers a variety of living opportunities. In traditional residence halls, fellow residents will always be just a few steps away, ready for late night study sessions and, of course, study breaks. And our apartment residences, available to upperclassmen, feature rooms that have a suite-style feel to foster a more independent environment.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Campus is full of fun, fellowship and friends, thanks to a robust lineup of activities and clubs. We know the university experience is much more than class lectures and late nights in the lab. Whether you’re looking for a fun weekend out of town or leadership roles that stand out on a résumé, an array of student groups are available for you to join.

The Student Activities Board (SAB) plans numerous events each week, from fun activities at Waynesburg to all-day road trips around the region. Together we’ll take weekend excursions to large cities for sporting events and Broadway shows, or go skiing, horseback riding, and ice skating.

In addition to these SAB events, which are selected and planned by students like you, there’s a wide variety of other activities, such as service projects and lecture series, that we encourage you to attend.

Cheerleaders cheer on the Yellow Jackets. Spike ball is a popular game often played in Johnson Commons. A guest musician performs a concert outside the GPAC. Students participate in a pumpkin decorating contest. Freshmen participate in a service project at the Greene County Historical Society. Coffeehouse is a popular SAB event where students enjoy live music. Friends take a break and catch up in the Beehive. The Tie dye and ice cream social always takes place during the first week of classes in the fall.
