GROW YOUR INNER SERVANT LEADER

Inspired service has been a pillar of the Waynesburg University community and curriculum since our founding. Through specialized classes and our Center for Service Leadership, which is dedicated to creating service experiences both locally and across the globe, you’ll refine your ability to lead with your values front and center.

SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

We're proud to be one of only 20 universities in the country to offer the prestigious Bonner Scholarship Program. This unique scholarship opportunity offers selected students financial assistance in return for a commitment to service while enrolled at Waynesburg.

GROW YOUR INNER EXPLORER

As the world becomes a global village, professionals with international experience are a significant asset to employers. Waynesburg University offers more than 100 study abroad opportunities, tailored to our commitment to service and fellowship. A semester abroad will deepen your academic understanding and help you discover new areas of personal and professional interest.

GROW WHILE YOU SERVE

We see service as more than long hours, sweat, or sacrifice. It’s how we show love all around the world. During spring, summer, fall and winter breaks, you can participate in one of our many international or domestic immersion trips, guided by our experienced faculty and staff. It’s your chance to help underserved communities while earning course credit. These trips apply to a range of academic concentrations or interests and provide incredible work experiences that will nourish you for a lifetime.

As a Christian comprehensive university, faith is at the center of who we are. Countless opportunities exist for faith-based activities on campus, designed to help students grow in Christian discipleship. You will have opportunities to engage in spiritual formation throughout your experience: in the classroom, through residence life, on the athletic field and through campus ministry programs.

GROW TOGETHER

Tuesday afternoons are set aside for Chapel, during which students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to gather for worship and prayer. In addition, student-led worship during Upper Room every Sunday evening at 8 p.m. creates an intentional time for students to reflect on Christ within an encouraging community of fellow students.

GROW YOUR INNER HERO

Our Nursing Program adheres to high academic standards and has a long history of incredible program outcomes. Our nursing simulation lab offers eight patient simulation rooms with audio-video recording, remote-viewing capabilities, and high-fidelity simulators, preparing future nurses for real-world scenarios in a range of healthcare field and industry positions. GROW YOUR INNER EINSTEIN

Students in the Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science have the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art equipment found in top industrial research labs. Waynesburg’s facilities go beyond the scope of a traditional teaching lab, with new instrumentation where students learn operation procedures, troubleshooting, method development and interpretation of results.

GROW YOUR INNER STORYTELLER

The award-winning Department of Communication provides practical experiences for students to begin developing portfolios that will impress employers, starting their first week. Students learn hands-on in our facilities that include a television production truck, a Mac computer lab, a radio station, television studio and newspaper production office.

OUR BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS

As a primarily residential campus, Waynesburg University offers a variety of living opportunities. In traditional residence halls, fellow residents will always be just a few steps away, ready for late night study sessions and, of course, study breaks. Our apartment residences feature rooms that have a suite-style feel to foster a more independent environment.

GROW YOUR INNER COMPETITOR

Waynesburg University recently launched a new esports program, with its Rocket League squad winning a national championship in its inaugural season. With 25 gaming stations, the state-of-the-art facility is one of the largest esports arenas in the region.

XR LEARNING & TRAINING

Waynesburg University was recently awarded a $2.5M grant from EON Reality, Inc., to fund implementation of virtual and augmented reality (XR) experiences. The grant provides faculty with the tools necessary to build XR learning experiences for students across a host of disciplines. Through a generous gift, Waynesburg Athletics has also taken the lead in VR training, with 25 virtual reality headsets that allow student-athletes in soccer, baseball, softball, football, tennis and golf to train at an elite level, regardless of weather conditions.

GROW YOUR INNER COMMUNITY

Whether your growth deepens through the relationships you build with your peers and our supportive faculty and staff, or through using your hands and mind to serve, our campus life will foster your potential–on the terms of your own journey.

AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN

Campus is full of fellowship and friends, thanks to a robust lineup of activities and clubs. We know the university experience is much more than class lectures and late nights in the lab. Whether you’re looking for a fun weekend out of town or leadership roles that stand out on a résumé, an array of student groups are available for you to join.

GROW YOUR INNER STRENGTH
