Jean is sure to inspire, encourage and motivate you to live a more positive life. In her most requested presentation, Jean shares her journey of misdiagnosis and how her sense of purpose along with a positive attitude enabled her to survive three decades of unnecessary doctors appointments, medications and surgeries with genuine gratitude and grace. Everyone is sure to be motivated to live a more positive, purpose filled life. Jean Abbott was misdiagnosed as a young child with Spastic Diplegia, a form of Cerebral Palsy. After 33 years of countless doctor’s visits, medical procedures, unnecessary medications and surgeries, she was correctly diagnosed with Dopa Responsive Dystonia (DRD) and given a new life! Jean is the author of Misdiagnosed: My Thirty-Year Struggle with a Debilitating Disorder I Never Had and has appeared on the Today show, Good Housekeeping and the U.K.’s Daily Mail. Since then, an overwhelming number of people from around the world have contacted Jean to tell her how inspired they were by her journey from “wheels to heels”. These days, Jean enjoys all the adventures of her new life, but wouldn’t change the journey that brought her to where she is today. Her positive attitude is highly contagious as she encourages others to appreciate the little things in life. (Jean Abbott)

Welcome to Wayzata Public Schools! Calling All Young Learners
YOUR CHILDREN DESERVE THE BEST
In Wayzata Public Schools (WPS), we focus on excellence, for each and every student. Our vibrant, caring community of teachers and school staff knows that each of our students is on a unique and wonderful educational journey—and we support every one of them along the way.
WHY CHOOSE WAYZATA?
Families move into our district due to the quality of our schools. Just a few of the reasons why: • Our teachers are among the most talented, enthusiastic and motivated professionals in the nation. • As a public school district serving nearly 13,000 students, we have the ability and experience to offer a wide variety of programs and services that meet the needs of all students. • Our parents are engaged and supportive. Numerous school parent organizations and booster groups directly support each district school and many co-curricular and extra-curricular programs. • Elementary, middle and high school students regularly receive recognition and top honors in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
