If you are looking for a helmet for a wide range of applications, there is no way around the NXR. With excellent ventilation and aerodynamics it is the ideal partner for sporty riders. So testet MOTORRAD Fünf Exemplare eines jeden Helmmodells traten zum Test an: drei in Größe M, je eines in Größe L und XL. Zwei Exemplare in M überlebten den Helmtest nicht, denn sie wurden im Rahmen der Schlagdämpfungsprüfung beim TÜV Rheinland in Köln zerstört (siehe Seite 143). Die drei verbliebenen Testmuster mussten in der Praxiserprobung zeigen, was sie können. Dafür ging es mit der Yamaha YZF-R1 aus dem MOTORRAD-Dauertestfuhrpark und einer Honda CB 1000 R auf die geschwindigkeitsmäßig weitgehend unreglementierte Autobahn A 81 zwischen Heilbronn und Würzburg und auf benachbarte Landstraßen. Auf der verkleideten Yamaha standen bis zu 250 km/h auf der Uhr, auf der Honda ließen es die Tester bei maximal 215 km/h gut sein. Nach jeder Testrunde wurden die noch frischen Fahreindrücke protokolliert. Um diese später noch etwas besser einordnen zu können, stand zum Abschluss des Testprogramms der legendäre „Konferenzraum-Trockentest“ in der Stuttgarter MOTORRAD-Redaktion auf dem Programm, in den zusätzliche, von Fahreindrücken „unbelastete“ Kollegen eingebunden wurden. Dabei ging es noch einmal in aller Ruhe um Handhabung, Passform und Verarbeitungsqualität. Und wie immer entstanden dabei auch die total subjektiven Hitlisten der Redakteure (siehe Seite 149), die mal wieder beweisen, dass der Helm am besten ist, der einem ganz persönlich am besten passt und gefällt.

The flexible and movable M.E.D.SLiner reduces the rotational energy via three special „domes“

Motion Energy Distribution System Additional EPS liner reduces the rotational energy in case of a crash. While the main EPS liner continues to absorb the impact energy, the additional EPS liner is set in motion in the event of a collision, thus reducing the rotational energy. Significant reduction of rotational forces compared to the predecessor model. Technically more advanced than any comparable dual-liner system.
